Many young people in Ottawa are working in retail and food services, where opportunities for career growth are often limited. This reflects a gap between education and the labor market, as many youth find themselves in roles that underutilize their skills. To address this, we need educational programs that meet both current and future industry demands, alongside more internships and apprenticeships to help young workers transition into fulfilling careers.
