I've said it before, and I'll say it many times more: low/no/light drinks are for everyone! It doesn't matter whether you're choosing to drink less for an hour or a year; in that time, you deserve to have something fabulous in your glass. The reasons people choose to drink less are varied and sometimes deeply personal, but recovery and sobriety aren't at the top of everyone's list. The next time someone asks you, "Why would you bother having that if it's got no booze in it?" send them my way, and I'll happily expand on any of these 12 reasons (and more) why someone may choose to drink less for any length of time.

The team have had the pleasure of attending some insightful webinars discussing non-alcoholic trends recently. Here are some of the key takeaways from the latest Distill Ventures and Adult Non-Alcoholic Beverage Association (ANBA) webinars. 🍷 💡 One of the main places people discover non-alcoholic beverages is at speciality beverage stores/shops (45% of buyers discover products here). These independent businesses play a huge role in brand storytelling and are one of the most impactful touchpoints for new consumers. 💡Drinking socialisation is changing, people are drinking slower over longer periods of time, or switching between low, no and full-strength alcohol options. 💡The top deciding factors for consumers purchasing non-alcoholic options are flavour, availability, value and versatility. Consumers want to experience different options that they can enjoy on various occasions. 💡Two in three 18-24 year olds are concerned about the impact of drinking on their health and are looking to moderate their alcohol consumption. 💡Abstinence is not the trend, moderation is. Whilst events like Dry January and Sober October are supporting factors for the sober curious movement, overall moderation is the direction consumers are going in. 💡 93% of people who buy non-alcoholic beverages also buy alcohol (NIQ) What are your thoughts on current non-alcoholic trends?
