Sports teams and their fans are terrific at announcing their triumphs on the field of play. When startups and their founding teams make such announcements, it usually comes in the form of newsletters and official posts in the media.  Streakers Gaming Inc. will soon be hanging banners and creating posters in recognition of the teams, leagues and even golf clubs that join the Streakers platform.  In the meantime, we are encouraged when we see other Canadian startups receive funding to help them grow and scale their business. (StrictlyVC, 13 June 2024) Mesosil of Toronto secures CAD 2.2m to develop infection-fighting biomaterials for medical devices led by GreenSky® with support from fellow new investors Greyhill Ventures, the Centre for Aging + Brain Health Innovation, and existing backers Archangel Network of Funds, NorthSpring Capital Partners, and undisclosed angels (BetaKit, 9 June 2024) Ginger Desk of Vancouver secured CAD $1.5m to power health and wellness front desks with virtual assistants. The round was led by Toronto’s Disruption Ventures, supported by Mosaic Accelerator founder Rochelle Grayson, Women's Equity Lab Vancouver and Manitoba, and Vancouver’s Spring Impact Capital (BetaKit, 2 June 2024) Maxa of Montreal, with its data automation and analytics platform for enterprise resource planning, raised CAD $28.7 million co-led by Framework Venture Partners and BDC Capital’s Industrial Innovation Venture Fund, with participation from AQC Capital and Graphite Ventures.
