At a time when companies are abandoning their DEI practices, the facts remain: women and gender-diverse founders continue to receive significantly less funding than male counterparts, therefore limiting opportunities for growth and innovation in the Canadian market. Investors standing by their values and driving capital equitably will play a crucial part in closing this innovation gap. SVX is now accepting applications for TogetherVC, an introductory program to understanding social equity and inclusion practices in early-stage venture investment.  The goal of the program is to  equip Ontario-based investment professionals, angel investors, and venture capital investors with educational resources, holistic support, and tools to uncover untapped market opportunities, diversify portfolios, and align strategies for meaningful financial and social impact. TogetherVC is more than just a program; it is a community designed to foster mutual learning, strategic growth, and new opportunities for mission-aligned investors. This experience is designed to meet all participants where they’re at, whether they’re exploring gender and social equity for the first time, or are looking to deepen their expertise.
