Three days of exercise each week can lead to improved mental health in just 30 days. According to research from Harvard Medical School and the American Psychological Association, moderate exercise can lead to noticeable mental health benefits. At Team Unbreakable, we believe in creating routines that strengthen both the body and the mind. There’s a vital connection between youth physical activity and adult well-being, as highlighted by the ASICS State of Mind Index! With declining activity levels among adolescents contributing to rising sedentary behaviours and increased depression, encouraging young people to swap just 60 minutes of screen time for movement could reduce depression cases by 10%. Adolescence is a key period for developing lifelong habits, and fostering enjoyment and connection through various physical activities is essential. By promoting the idea that there’s no "right" way to be active, we can help create a foundation for better mental health in adulthood. Team Unbreakable is dedicated to harnessing the power of running to support youth mental health, encouraging young people to find joy and purpose through this transformative activity. Together, we’re empowering the next generation to prioritize movement, connection, and mental well-being. #YouthMentalHealth #PhysicalActivity #TeamUnbreakable #RunningForWellbeing

"Exercise is medicine," says Dr. Michael Dakkak, emphasizing that, like any medication, it requires a thoughtful plan. When creating your fitness routine, consider your goals, available time, and recovery needs. Consistency is vital, but so is enjoyment. Choosing activities that you love and that keep you engaged makes it easier to stick with them. At Team Unbreakable, we embrace the idea that movement is medicine, just as Dr. Dakkak asserts. Our programs empower young people to develop fitness habits that are enjoyable, consistent, and balanced. By keeping movement fun, we help youth enhance both their physical and mental well-being. Every step they take moves them toward resilience and health. Let’s support young people by enabling them to build a healthier future, one step at a time. #YouthMentalHealth #PhysicalHealth4MentalHealth #Running #TeamUnbreakable #FitnessGoals
