In the U.S., 2.5% of all births are through IVF, and 2.5 million cycles are performed annually. These numbers are staggering, but they barely scratch the surface of the emotional toll infertility takes: the shots, the tears, the waiting, the sacrifice, and the unrelenting hope. What Joy does so beautifully is put the humanity back into these numbers. The film "Joy" is now on Netflix! Joy dives into the extraordinary true tale behind the groundbreaking birth of Louise Joy Brown in 1978, the world’s first IVF baby, and the relentless decade-long quest to achieve it. Mental health is health. When it comes to infertility, a lot of the focus seems to be on physical well-being, leaving mental health out of the conversation. The statistics around mental health and infertility are startling: • 76% of infertility patients experience anxiety • 56% of infertility patients experience depression • 39% of infertility patients meet the criteria for major depressive disorder • 9.4% of infertility patients report suicidal thoughts or attempts (National Library of Medicine (NLM)) Fertility patients everywhere are struggling and there is little to no support for them. September is PCOS Awareness Month, and we’re sharing what you need  to know. 🧠 PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome) affects 1 in 10 women, yet many suffer  in silence due to a lack of awareness and understanding. Symptoms like  irregular periods, weight gain, and acne can be mistaken for other issues,  leading to delays in diagnosis and treatment. Did you know that PCOS can impact fertility, too? Hormonal imbalances  caused by PCOS can lead to irregular menstrual cycles and anovulation,  which is when an egg doesn't release from an ovary, causing infertility. This month, we’re advocating for increased education and support for  PCOS. Breaking the silence around women’s health issues is crucial for  creating a supportive environment. Education is key 🗝 to empowering women to advocate for themselves  and seek the care they need. By spreading awareness and fostering open  conversations, we can help women get the answers and support they  deserve.
