What does Taiwan, Vietnam and Canada all have in common? Incredibly strong, successful women business leaders who are committed to raising the bar for our communities. I’m pleased to share an inspiring experience from this past week where I participated in the first “Canadian 🇨🇦 Women-Only Business Mission in Taiwan and Vietnam”. This delegation, organized by the Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada, brought together a remarkable group of Canadian female business leaders, entrepreneurs, scientists, and professionals to strengthen the bridge between Canada and the Asia Pacific regions. This unique initiative promotes gender-inclusive trade, enabling Canadian companies to partner up with key markets in Asia. In Taiwan, we had the honor of meeting with Vice President Hsiao Bi-khim. Vice President Hsiao warmly welcomed us, expressing her hope for deeper ties between our two nations, particularly in advancing a world that truly values and incorporates women’s contributions. As we discussed #business, #technology, and #trade, it was clear that Taiwan values its partnership with Canada, not just economically, but as part of a shared vision for a more inclusive, resilient future. In Vietnam, we were warmly welcomed by the Canadian Consul General Annie Dubé and her outstanding team, and hosted meaningful roundtable and panel discussions on how to empower more sustainable inclusion for women in leadership. This exchange underscored for me the power of #collaboration and #community. In Canada and Taiwan and Vietnam, women leaders are stepping forward to make meaningful contributions to society, striving to make our communities safer, more inclusive, and more prosperous. These opportunities remind us that true growth isn’t measured only by economic markers but by the impact we have on the world around us. I look forward to bringing insights from this experience to my work as a business leader, as we continue to aim for financial success paired with a purpose-driven approach.
