Sharing important B.C. pay transparency legislation below ⬇

I am seeing too many jobs in British Columbia posted without the salary ranges posted. Employers, especially those with head offices in other provinces, please take note: 💰 Pay Disclosure: All employers must include the expected pay or salary range in public job advertisements. ❌ No Pay History Questions: Employers are prohibited from asking applicants about their past salaries. 🔒 Employee Protection: Employers cannot penalize employees for asking about, discussing, or sharing their pay with others. 📊 Transparency Reports: Large employers must submit annual pay transparency reports starting November 1, following a phased approach. Bottom line: 🚨 Compliance is Key: Any job posted in B.C., regardless of the employer's origin, must include pay details. Failing to do so violates the law. This is a big step toward fairness and equity in the workplace. #PayTransparency #FairHiring #WorkplaceEquity #ComplianceMatters

🎉 Success in Just 5 Weeks! We recently wrapped up a Health & Safety search for a manufacturing client, and it is great example of what happens when recruitment is a true partnership: 💡 Digging Deep: A facility tour gave us invaluable insights into their operations and culture. Knowing their world helped us nail the search. ⚡ Adapting on the Fly: The market spoke, and our client listened—adjusting experience requirements and compensation to attract the right talent. 🚀 Focused & Agile: Prioritizing quality over quantity, we moved quickly with top candidates. Streamlined decisions and processes showed candidates they mattered. 🤝 Teamwork at Its Best: Honest conversations, real-time market insights, and open communication kept us fully aligned from start to finish. The result? A true win win for all. A talented person ready to lead Health & Safety, a happy client, and another reminder of the power of collaboration. #Recruitment #TalentSuccess #Manufacturing #HealthAndSafety #Collaboration #HiringDoneRight #ClientLove

✨ How is it already November 2nd? Anyone else feel like October flew by? ✨ If I had to sum up last month in one word, it would be ‘connecting’. Below is a quick recap of what kept me busy: 🎤 I had the honor of presenting at two events with Manufacturing Safety Alliance of BC - Nonprofit Health & Safety Association • First, the Make It Safe conference, where I talked about future trends in manufacturing. • Second, an online session titled “How to Do Your Own Recruiting—Practical Strategies for Small Business.” 🌐 Attended ASCM - Western Canada Chapter annual conference and reconnecting with familiar faces and meeting new ones in the industry! 💪 Had some authentic conversations with a few fellow female founders in recruitment. Let’s just say “Lift Me Up” by Rihanna has been on repeat this month. A special shoutout to these incredible and hardworking female founders in the recruitment space: Gaelene Wootton Jenn McQuoid Britt Mayne Jessica Smith 🍽️ Enjoyed fantastic conversation over lunch with these talented People leaders: Anna-Liza Igonia and Anastasiya Yakovenko, CPHR, SHRM-SCP October was packed, and I’m excited to see what November has in store! What a great day of reconnecting and learning on Day 1 of the Make it Safe conference run by Manufacturing Safety Alliance of BC - Nonprofit Health & Safety Association. The keynote speaker, Nicole Stefenelli, CEO of Urban Impact Recycling Ltd spoke about how she turned her company around by making Safety THE most important value in the organization, winning them a safety in innovation award this year. 👩⚖️ I also had the privilege to judge a youth competition on Innovation in Safety. Sharing this article for our followers in the Manufacturing industry. Has your company implemented any AI systems for to enhance safety in your workplace? Would love to hear if they have.

👷♀️ The role of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) managers has always been central to manufacturing safety. However, with the rise of AI, the industry is witnessing a significant shift. 🧠 AI systems can monitor factory floors 24/7, predicting risks and offering real-time solutions, but can they truly replace the expertise of human EHS managers? Rather than seeing AI as a competitor, it’s more effective to view it as a collaborator. The article from Canadian Manufacturing below shows how AI and EHS managers can work together to enhance safety: #ManufacturingSafety #AIinManufacturing #EHSManagement #WorkplaceSafety #Innovation https://lnkd.in/gdb2F9qC
