Participation à la 4eme Conférence interministérielle mondiale sur la Sécurité routière à Marrakech du 15 au 20 février 2025. C’est l’occasion d’évaluer la mi décennie d’actions pour la réduction du nombre de morts et de blessés graves à l’horizon 2030. Je représente mon organisation Tirf.ca qui est une référence mondiale en matière de transfert de connaissances dans le domaine de la Sécurité Routière. Nous espérons que cette réunion permettra au décideurs et au politiques de passer à l’action et de matérialiser les engagements pris lors des précédentes réunions. La sécurité routière est devenue plus que jamais une problématique de santé publique surtout dans les pays à faibles et moyens revenus. Il est vraiment temps de dire STOP et d’essayer de renverser la tendance.

2025 Ensuring roads are upgraded and lives saved: The keys to implementation success This report initiated by iRAP's Global Policy Advisory Committee (GPAC) outlines the seven keys to implementation success based on case studies from iRAP partnerships around the world. Key recommendations to increase the speed and scale at which high-risk roads are identified and upgraded to ensure lives are saved and injuries are reduced are presented to guide next steps by partners worldwide.

From St. John’s to Vancouver, ‘expect the unexpected’ becomes more than a catchy phrase as drivers look forlornly between their summer tires or all seasons and the rising snowfall while strategizing how to get to work or the store. Many discover the hard way that not all all-seasons are actually for all seasons if they don’t have the coveted snowflake rating as found with winter tires or at least an M+S (Mud + Snow) rating which, by the way, is still not as effective as a complete winter tire.
