We are səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh Nation), People of the Inlet. Our knowledge of the lands and waters of our territory has shaped our people since time immemorial. As a First Nations community, we strive to align Tsleil-Waututh governance with the social, cultural, political, economic, end ecological goals we have set as a community. We pursue business opportunities on our lands and within the region to generate wealth and prosperity for our people, but we balance growth with preserving Tsleil-Waututh values, culture, and territory.   • Tsleil-Waututh Nation artist Jordan Gallie recently unveiled a public art installation at Phibbs Exchange in North Vancouver, as part of a project by Translink.   Jordan shared about his work: “The Eagle represents a respectable vision over our territory that binds communities. The Wolf is a representation that recognizes our səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh Nation) Peoples and the strength we have to the uphold that vision for our Nation’s future.”   Jordan’s artwork is featured on Translink’s public art map: https://lnkd.in/gWBpvgXm Jordan Gallie is a Member of the Tsleil-Waututh Nation. Jordan's interest in becoming an artist began at age nine, after seeing First Nations artwork displayed at the Museum of Anthropology. Jordan has experience in large-scale projects, logo design, murals, jewelry design, and many other mediums.
