I don't want to be alarmist... 😲 BUT THIS IS A REALLY BIG DEAL for e-comm brands that virtually no one is talking about! (please share with a brand that may be affected ASAP!!) I'm talking worse than ios14 for ALL BRANDS that are affected here! Ok... let me break it down for you Meta is rolling out new restrictions for brands in sensitive industries like health, wellness, finance, and politics to enhance user privacy and align with global regulations. (probably because of a lawsuit) This will affect how brands collect and use data for advertising. MOST IMPORTANTLY - THESE BRANDS WILL NOT BE ABLE TO USE BOTTOM OF FUNNEL EVENTS (ATC, PUR etc) to optimize for... nor will they be able to see the data! What’s Happening? Restricted Data Tracking Brands will have limited access to Meta's tracking tools (e.g., Pixel, Conversions API), especially for lower-funnel events like purchases or sign-ups. (AGAIN THIS IS THE BIG DEAL I'M talking about!) Broad Targeting Only: Precise targeting will be replaced with broader audience options, reducing personalization. Reclassification Risks: Brands on the periphery (e.g., skincare, supplements, or fitness) may be miscategorized and subject to restrictions. Who’s Affected? Health-related brands (e.g., medical devices, supplements). Financial services (e.g., loans, investments). Beauty and wellness (e.g., acne treatments, weight-loss products). Gambling, alcohol, and sexual wellness products. Here are some examples of Brands That Will Be Directly Affected by Meta's Sensitive Industry Restrictions Health and Wellness A pharmaceutical company selling prescription medications. A telehealth app offering virtual doctor consultations. A mental health counseling service (e.g., BetterHelp). A brand selling CBD or THC products. A company selling weight-loss supplements. A skincare brand targeting acne or eczema treatment (e.g., Proactiv). A fitness app with weight-loss-specific programs. A medical device company selling blood glucose monitors. A chiropractic clinic advertising services. A brand selling anti-aging treatments like Botox or fillers. Finance A payday loan provider. A mortgage brokerage firm. An investment app focusing on stocks and crypto (e.g., Robinhood). A credit repair service. A life insurance company targeting specific demographics. We're talking to a lot of them at Social Commerce Club Up until now the bigger brands have been able to ignore TikTok shop... but not in 2025 The pie is only getting bigger The time to get on the platform is now! Almost every day I see a post from someone talking about how wrong they were about TikTok shop... and to believe the hype. I am there! 2025 is the year of the enterprise brand on TikTok shop! Thoughts?

If your goal is 2025 is to implement an ERP... You need to watch this video... and send it to anyone else who's thinking about it... Friends don't let friends doing under 100 million a year implement an ERP Will you feel like you're doing something important? Will it keep you busy? Will it make the keeper of the ERP hard to get rid of? YES to all! My goal in 2025 is to SIMPLIFY everything in our operations. If it's not simple and you can't use grade 3 language to descibe it... it's too complicated. that's it And that's the problem with a big plan to implement an ERP Do you need project management software? In 2024, I sold a brand, closed a brand, and more than doubled our agency. I also had the privilege of consulting—both ongoing and one-off—with over 25 SaaS, brand, and agency founders. (I don't feel like the same person I was in January) But as I look back, a few things stand out as game-changers—things that have helped me move faster, solve problems better, and make smarter decisions. Let me tell you a few things that have helped more than others. First, being in the right rooms with the right people. You know, the kind of people who truly get it. Not just colleagues or employees, but other founders, builders, and leaders who understand the weight of the decisions we have to make every day. When you’re running a business, especially at a certain scale, it can feel isolating. Even if you have an incredible team, there are things they won’t understand—because they’re not in the same position. And that’s okay; they don’t need to be. But you need to have a space where you can share openly, brainstorm freely, and get advice from people who’ve walked the same path. For me, being part of communities like Workspace 6 has made all the difference. It’s not just about finding people who are smart—although that’s part of it. It’s about being surrounded by people who push you to think differently, who challenge your blind spots, and who’ve faced (and overcome) the same obstacles you’re up against. For me, communities like this aren’t just helpful; they’re essential. (and they're a cheat code) They’re where I’ve found clarity, perspective, and even opportunities I didn’t know existed.
