  • In recognition of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, our team had the privilege of attending the Indigenous Legacy Gathering at Nathan Phillips Square. The turnout was truly inspiring—a vibrant sea of orange filled the square! We explored the beautiful tipis, immersing ourselves in Indigenous culture and history. A highlight was the public opening of the Spirit Garden and the Teaching Lodge, which serve as powerful spaces for reflection and learning. While we recognize that capturing the cultural symbols of such a diverse heritage in one place is challenging, we believe the Spirit Garden is a meaningful step toward fostering deeper understanding and connection. Let’s continue this important journey together. visionnairefutures.com

It’s our birthdaaay!! To celebrate our one-year anniversary in September, team Visionnaire headed to Rockford Park to grow our tree canopy with The City of Toronto. It was a beautiful sunshine day with busy volunteers and happy bees. Armed with gloves, shovels and our go-get-it attitudes, we dug, planted, mulched, and together planted over 175 saplings in just two hours! Extra points - This aligned perfectly with our Plus Company Plus for Good ‘Sustainability’ focus for 2024 as well! A huge shout out and thank you to all our clients, service providers, partners and well-wishers for believing in us, in the power of diversity, and pushing for inclusion together! visionnairefutures.com

Cooler days, warm hued leaves, and a round harvest moon, herald the Mid-Autumn Festival, the second most important festival after Lunar New Year for Asian Canadians. As the yellow moon lights up the night, families gather together for reunion dinners and moon gazing. It is a time for thankfulness, mooncakes, lanterns, and folk tales of the moon rabbit and the lady on the moon. It’s also the perfect time for brands to be inclusive and join in the celebrations with wishes and offers for the community. If you’d like to learn more, we’d love to show you how. https://lnkd.in/e4kxWrEJ May you harvest bountiful joy. Happy Mid-Autumn Festival from the Visionnaire family.

Beyond thrilled to see Visionnaire and our work featured in the Applied Arts Summer 2024 Annual, in the company of inspiring leaders, working for change in the diversity space.   In the article “DEI: Down, But Not Out.” Will Novosedlik dives into race relations in Canada, the effects of being foreign-born, workplace microaggressions, unconscious bias and advancement barriers. Thought leaders reflect on the exciting promise, but agonisingly slow pace of change.   For many of us championing the diversity space in Canada, the drive has been relentless - from pathbreaking programs in mentorship, scholarship funding, internships, research and anti-racism tools, to working to authentically connect brands to diverse audiences.   When it comes to planning for brand growth, the numbers show the crucial importance of committing to diverse markets as a business imperative. So happy to see the campaigns for our clients Walmart Canada, Google and PepsiCo, showcased among the empowering examples of authentic and successful outreach. You can read more about them and our work in the diversity space here https://lnkd.in/e4kxWrEJ   Thank you, Will and Applied Arts, for your passion for inclusion and promoting diverse voices.   Natalie Bomberry, Stephanie Small, Mark Harrison, Gavin Barrett, Justin Senior, Zak Mroueh, Rob Guenette, Joshina Jolly, Jessica Borges

Team Visionnaire took part in an inspiring event led by the Aga Khan Museum and Toronto Council Fire Native Cultural Centre, to celebrate the Summer Solstice and National Indigenous Peoples Day on June 21. We made beautiful Tipis, took part in a Medicine Wheel activity, learnt traditional beading, created our own clay turtles, danced with the First Fire Dance Troupe, and were mesmerized by the intricate knit and crocket-work installation series #hopeandhealingcanada. The emotional voices of singers, the soul-stirring music of flute and drums, and the smoke from the sacred fire, filled the air, as narrators inspired us with glimpses into Indigenous heritage.  As immigrants to Canada ourselves, it was a journey of discovery into the beauty of Indigenous culture, the importance of understanding, and the power of togetherness. https://lnkd.in/e4kxWrEJ
