Informal volunteering – dates back by 200,000 years according to anthropological research. We have launched a survey as part of our job analysis process to ensure that our professional certification is up to date and future oriented. We are specifically looking to have the survey reach leaders of volunteers with 5 years or less experience leading or working with volunteers to help inform the CVA exam designed for leaders of volunteers with 3 years experience. It has been a decade since the last job analysis was conducted to determine the elements of professional practice in volunteer administration.
