Our second Athlete Passport Management Unit Workshop was held in Cologne on 16 February and was attended by 48 participants from all 17 WADA-approved APMUs.    The one-day workshop included presentations aimed at sharing best practices between APMUs, updates on recent developments like the Endocrine Module and blood steroid markers, in addition to small group case discussions.    #CleanSport #AntiDoping

This week, our Africa Office hosted two key meetings in Cape Town, South Africa, exploring ways to strengthen efforts in the fight against doping across the region.    1️⃣ Productive discussions with the Secretary General of the Conference of Ministers of Youth and Sports of La Francophonie focused on advancing the cooperation outlined in the agreement between the two organizations. The meeting provided a valuable opportunity to strengthen relations and explore further initiatives aimed at enhancing the fight against doping within the Francophone community.    2️⃣ Our Africa Office’s Director met with Prof. Decius Chipande, Coordinator of the African Union Sports Council of the African Union Commission to discuss key developments and areas of mutual interest within the African sports sector.    #CleanSport #AntiDoping 

📢 We co-authored a publication about our new Therapeutic Use Exemption (TUE) guidelines designed to help physicians treating athletes for short stature conditions without growth hormone deficiency. This week our President, Witold Bańka, welcomed representatives of the Governance and the Secretariat of UNESCO's Anti-Doping Convention, Mr. Matar BA, Chairperson Bureau of the ninth Conference of Parties (COP 9), and Mr. Dally Marcellin, Executive Secretary of the Convention, in Warsaw.      As UNESCO prepares to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the International Convention against Doping in Sport this October, and we get ready to host the 2025 World Conference on Doping in Sport this December, we both reaffirmed our commitment to working together for a stronger, more effective anti-doping system worldwide. #CleanSport #Collaboration #AntiDoping #Win4Real #UnitedbyValues

Congratulations to the Anti-Doping Agency of Serbia for an investigation that successfully dismantled an organized criminal group and seized 3,000kg of doping substances worth more than EUR 3 million.       The investigation was one of more than 100 initiated as a direct result of our European Intelligence & Investigation Project, which developed I&I capability and capacity in nearly 50 countries.    https://lnkd.in/eY-q_Tgg     “This operation has proven what is possible when Anti-Doping Organizations, law enforcement and governments proactively work together.” – Günter Younger, our Director, Intelligence & Investigation.
