The categories are: -         Award of Distinction (preeminent award for the Canadian wine industry) -         Wine Industry Champion Award (which recognizes those whose contributions in education, policy, advocacy or media have been exemplary) -         Karl Kaiser Canadian Winemaker Award (for leading winemakers in the Canadian wine industry) Go ahead and nominate today here:

    Wine Growers Canada is delighted to announce the election of Del Rollo as the new Chair of the Board, effective today. Del has worked in the wine industry for almost 25 years and is extremely knowledgeable on varied aspects of the Canadian wine industry, including hospitality, retail and culinary tourism. Welcome Del! At the same time, we thank Greg Berti, our outgoing Chair of the Board, for his diligent leadership over the past year.

    Wine Growers Canada was thrilled to celebrate the outstanding contribution, dedication and expertise of the 2024 winners of the Canadian Wine Industry Awards in Penticton, BC last night. The prestigious Award of Distinction went to The Wyse Family of Burrowing Owl Vineyards Ltd in Oliver, British Columbia. The Wine Industry Champion Award was bestowed upon wine writer & author, Natalie MacLean. Finally, the recipient of this year’s Karl Kaiser Canadian Winemaker Award was Gina Haverstock of Devonian Coast Wineries Ltd. – the first female winemaker to win this distinguished award!
