PR for Junior Miners with witan nook.

I am happy to announce that I will be joining Peyton Baird at witan nook as the firm’s first full time hire. With the world looking towards the energy transition, increased mining of metals and minerals is required NOW more than ever. As society becomes more adept, new methods of getting information to current and future shareholders are needed. We enhance understanding of the mineral resource sector by providing junior mining companies with robust communications support, helping them attract smart money to achieve their financing, exploration, development, or acquisition objectives.

  • The Trump Administration’s interest in Greenland is becoming clear, but for those in the mineral space, they were already known. Vice President-elect JD Vance affirmed in a Sunday interview that Greenland is “really important for America strategically" and has "a lot of great natural resources,” and added that people Donald Trump Jr. met in Greenland last week told him they "want to be empowered to develop" those resources. https://lnkd.in/dvjHu2HK

JD Vance says there's "a deal to be made in Greenland"

Atlantic Canada holds significant untapped potential to substantially grow its regional economy and enhance Canada’s global influence as a supplier of raw materials such as critical minerals, metals, and oil & gas. Atlantic Canada has world-class universities that provide high-level education and is home to strategically positioned deepwater ports which are closer to European markets than those in the United States, offering a competitive logistical advantage. As global supply chains between the East and West deteriorate, North America will need to strengthen its domestic production capacity. Simultaneously, Europe will look to North America for natural resources. This presents a unique opportunity for Atlantic Canada to establish itself as a key export hub for natural resources to Europe. Furthermore, the region has the potential to develop refining and value-adding capacities, maximizing economic benefits. Atlantic Canada is ready to redefine its role, emerging as a critical hub for economic growth and international collaboration - bringing increased influence to Canada on the world stage. Thank you Jeremy Bennett for the chance to speak on this topic, and I very much enjoyed the chat afterwords.

  • Newfoundland and Labrador's economy is natural resource based, with over 30% of its GDP coming from industries such as mining, forestry, and oil & gas. Exports make up nearly 60% of the GDP, with the majority going to international markets, particularly the United States. Despite economic fluctuations influenced by commodity prices, Newfoundland and Labrador's strategic resource base and emerging sectors present positive growth opportunities that offer a secure future for mining, offshore oil & gas, and more.

  • There is potential for a critical mineral trade war between BRICS countries and the West, writes Frik Els of MINING.com. BRICS countries have expanded their bloc to include nations rich in critical minerals, like Iran and Saudi Arabia, giving them control of a significant portion of global supply. They've increased trade among themselves, reduced reliance on the US dollar, and imposed export restrictions on minerals, which could be a precursor for more aggressive restrictions. On the other hand, Western countries, led by initiatives like the US's Minerals Security Partnership, are diversifying supply chains to reduce dependency on China, investing in mining and processing domestically and with allies, and countering with sanctions and tariffs on Russian and Chinese goods in response to geopolitical tensions. These actions are indicative of natural resource competition and are creating a trade war scenario over critical minerals. https://lnkd.in/gsP_nJXG
