EVP, Head of Global Payments at PNC

I've had a week to reflect on an amazing two days at the Women in Payments U.S. Symposium. #TeamPNC showed up to speak, network and champion women in our industry. A few highlights... 🔹Moderating the Unicorn Challenge and awarding the audience and judges choice award to Saujin Yi, founder of LiquidTrust. Congratulations and well-deserved! 🔹Seeing my teammates and peers recognized as finalists for various Women in Payments awards - Bobi Shields-Farrelly Shields Farrelly as a Change Agent, Anissa Gilbert as a Rising Star, and Deborah Brake as a Distinguished Payments Professional. 🔹Listening to all the interesting panels, including Lia Albright's fireside chat about The "flip side" of ISO 20022. Every year I am reminded how proud I am to be involved with this organization. Thank you to Kristy Duncan and her dedicated team for this important forum to push our industry forward. Until next year!

We’re still reflecting on the incredible discussions and insights shared at Women in Payments 2024. From the evolving role of AI in fraud prevention to the importance of diversity and leadership in fintech, this event continues to drive meaningful change. A few standout takeaways from the sessions: 🔹 𝗔𝗜 & 𝗙𝗿𝗮𝘂𝗱 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 – There’s still work to be done in North America to strengthen policies and innovation. Ethical AI and stronger fraud defenses must be a priority. 🔹 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗿𝘆𝗽𝘁𝗼 – With shifting regulations, fraud mitigation must evolve alongside it. 🔹 𝗕𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 & 𝗥𝗶𝘀𝗸 – Higher transaction volumes mean greater fraud risks. How do we adapt? 🔹 𝗗𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 & 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 – The 4Is: Inclusivity, Inspiration, Innovation, and Intention should shape our approach to financial services. We were proud to see Frances Zelazny contribute to these critical conversations, sharing insights on Keeping Pace with a Digitally Driven World. Seeing strong engagement and excitement around how Anonybit can support identity security challenges made this event even more special. 👏 A huge thank you to Kristy Duncan and the Women in Payments team for making this event impactful year after year. 📸 Swipe for highlights! #WomenInPayments #Innovation #AI #FraudPrevention #IdentityManagement #Biometrics #Leadership #Inclusion #Fintech #WomenEmpoweringWomen

Solving problems and driving strategic thinking one payment at a time focused on clear guidance with a dash of enthusiasm and a heavy dose of straight talk.

It's about networking. It's about being a mentor, if only for a minute. I dialed in to a POM Cafe web meet-up hosted by Women in Payments today. The guest facilitator Angelique Styliadis from RBC did a great job engaging the group on the importance of networking, connecting and balancing your personal and professional world. It's never been more important for all of us to engage with each other. I've been at it longer than I care to admit. I found myself not asking questions of our guest speaker, but asking questions of myself. Am I giving back? How can I help the younger version of myself make connections and drive their careers? Who have I helped lately? I encourage all of us to share our story. Allow others to borrow brilliance. I actually popped out here and offered a couple recommendations to people I know are open to work. I would encourage everyone in my network to do the same.
