Busy week at Cenovus Centre with activities on before exams start for the fall semester. Mentoring Circles had an entrepreneurial theme this time and we were lucky to be joined by Kelly Ryan, Helping Teams Go From Exhausted To Energetic from Nerdy Nutrition and Vivienne Wilkinson Founder of Venture Camp. Thank you to both of our mentors for sharing their insights and stories on how they started their businesses. We love hearing the WHY in the stories. Entrepreneurs see the need and they go for it. Looking forward to more mentoring circles in the new year.

About us
The Cenovus Centre of Excellence in Sales and Supply Chain Management is a centre of the Faculty of Business Administration at Memorial University. It connects businesses, faculty and staff, practitioners and students to enhance the sales and supply chain management capabilities of local firms as they engage in buying and selling goods and services. We recognize that a large and capable supply chain in any industry starts by investing in and improving the sales management capability and supply chain excellence of each individual firm. The Cenovus Centre aims to address ecosystem gaps and add value to firms trying to scale up with education and training, research and consultation projects, and community outreach activities.

Great opportunity for students! Come out and hear about the logistics and economics of the container industry. If you aren’t sure if that’s relatable to you in your field of study or future employment, if you want to conduct business in NL, a lot of the goods that come to the province arrive by containers. Those products are sourced, their prices negotiated, warehoused, sold or touched in some way by countless professionals in many industries. This is valuable insight that you will get from attending.

What a great evening at the Turning the Tide Marine Industry Awards. A very big thank you to Susan Collins and PF Collins International Trade Solutions for offering the tickets so I could invite three MBA students at Faculty of Business Administration at Memorial University of Newfoundland to attend and network. Thank you to Travor Brown and Lisa Brown for being so gracious to make sure they met the students. I feel very grateful to work in an awesome faculty with a Dean that allows me the flexibility to think outside the box for events and opportunities for students. Thank you Haris, Stephanie and Rama for joining me. Congratulations to all the award winners. Crosbie, C-Core, Jason Edmunds and Chief Mi’sel Joe and Captain Robert Bartlett. Good running in to some friends and industry partners. Thank you convention centre for a lovely venue and great food.
