  • Join us in spreading joy this holiday season with Hyatt’s Spirit of Giving! 🎄🎁 We are calling on our patrons, guests, colleagues, and the local community to come together and make a difference. This year, we are supporting four incredible non-profits that uplift the spirits of both humankind and animal-kind: Calgary Region Foster and Kinship Association, WINS (Women In Need Society), Tsuut'ina First Nation Food Bank, and Heaven Can Wait Animal Rescue. With your help, we can fulfill their holiday wish lists and bring smiles to those who need it most. The donation drive runs until December 18, 2024. Swipe to see how you can get involved! #HyattsSpiritOfGiving #SpreadJoy #HolidayGiving #SupportLocalCharities

  • On this National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, we honour the children lost to residential schools and the strength of survivors, their families, and communities. This day also marks Orange Shirt Day, inspired by Phyllis Webstad's experience of having her orange shirt taken from her on her first day of residential school, a powerful reminder that Every Child Matters. In line with our commitment to truth and reconciliation, Hyatt Regency Calgary has proudly joined the Moose Hide Campaign. This Indigenous-led movement, which seeks to end violence against women and children, aligns with our mission to foster respect and safety. Our team members wear moose hide pins, symbolizing their pledge to stand up for and protect the women and children in their lives, and speak out against gender-based violence. Today and always, we stand in respect and reflection. We acknowledge that we live, work and play on the traditional territories of the Blackfoot Confederacy (Siksika, Kainai, Piikani), the Tsuut’ina, the Îyâxe Nakoda Nations, the Métis Nation (Region 3), and all people who make their homes in the Treaty 7 region of Southern Alberta.

  • During International Housekeeping Week, we put ourselves in the shoes of our hardworking housekeepers by learning the craft that they master every day. Colleagues from different departments buddied up with Room Attendants to help strip the guestrooms, and by working as a team, we were able to clean more rooms in less time. This experience deepened our appreciation for the dedication and skill of our Housekeeping Team. They are truly our unsung heroes, and we are incredibly grateful for their tireless efforts in ensuring our guests enjoy spotless, comfortable stays. #HousekeepingHeroes #InternationalHousekeepingWeek

  • Throwback Thursday to an unforgettable Pride Week moment. Our Hyatt family had the privilege of joining local historian Kevin Allen for a Gay History Walk through the Beltline, discovering Calgary's rich 2SLGBTQI+ past. Learning about our history isn’t just about remembering—it is about building a brighter, more inclusive future. What better way to show appreciation than by understanding the history that shaped our city? 🌈 #HyPride #YYCGaryHistory #GayHistoryWalk #PrideAtHyatt #LGBTQHistory

  • At Hyatt Regency Calgary, we believe in giving back to both our community and our planet. Recently, we donated unclaimed clothing from our Lost & Found to the Women In Need Society (WINS), a Calgary-based charity dedicated to connecting women and their families with resources to thrive. By donating these items, we are giving them a second chance to create new stories and make a positive impact on someone’s life. We always do our best to reconnect guests with their belongings. Depending on the value of the items, we wait 1 to 6 months before donating. Unclaimed items go to WINS, helping create positive change.
