Family-friendly Hotels in Jiangsu, China

On the whole I'd say this is a beautiful hotel that is very good but not excellent. Positives are about the architecture and area. The hotel has an interesting layout that gives you an excellent feeling of an older palace when you walk through the hallways. The hotel's grounds are like a park unto itself. The scenic Panmen area beyond the hotel back gate is wonderful. I highly recommend taking a walk there. Aside from that it's just good enough. Service is pretty standard for this hotel class; nothing wrong and nothing spectacular. Bath amenities are sufficient in quantity but not a known brand. Tea in the room is good, the coffee in the room is cheap powder.

Stayed at this lovely apartment for 2 nights whilst visiting Suzhou. Really loved the service provided by the team at the front desk! They were so warm and friendly and helpful, even helping us with storing our bags when we arrived early and also when we asked for extra pillows! They were also really helpful in helping to keep some travel documents for us when we forgot to take them with us when we went out firing the day! Very trustworthy :) The front entrance is really small but the whole look and feel of the place is very cosy once you enter. It's also very convenient to get to shops and eateries! The place is super clean and beds are comfy. Very worth it for the price paid for the 2 bedroom suite which allowed our family to stay together. The 2 bathrooms was also a plus so that everyone could wash up faster at the end of the day. The boss of the place was also very helpful on proving suggestions and warnings of what we should avoid when we went out in the morning. He also gave us some local mochi (which was very yummy) and a couple of boxes of local snacks when we left! Overall would definitely stay here again if we ever visit suzhou again!

Hotel room was exceptional - 2 spacious rooms with 2 separate bathrooms and meticulously clean! The staff at the Front Desk, Mr Fang in particular, were all exceptionally courteous & helpful. Location was excellent! Most highly recommended!

I chose the hotel for its proximity to the metro station of Leqiao. A useful back door takes you to a colorful food and shopping area. The wonderful Pingjiang, Gardens and Nanjing Museum also close enough if you don't mind a good walk. The hotel atmospehere Is relaxing, colors dark and neutral. All staff was very friendly though not proficient in English, but they tried hard to please with the use of a translator. Breakfast was adequate yet not the best I've encounteted in other Chinese hotels with regards to variety of choice. All in all, a pleasent stay!

My third stay at this hotel, but I think it will be my last because on my second and third stays I've experienced progressively worsening bad service from what had been a good experience on my first stay. This time, as with the second stay, staff were unfriendly and unwelcoming (except only for the bellhop, who was very professional). This time, the focus of the check-in staff person was to make a point of highlighting the room rate even though I had already paid, and then when I arrived at my room, the door was open and another staff person was locking the refrigerator even though the room description had included refrigerator and I had wanted to use it. It turned out that this was because the fridge contained minibar items and I would need to pay an exorbitant 500 RMB deposit if I wanted access. This means that the hotel does not trust its guests, behaviour that I might expect in a 2-star hotel, but not one that promotes itself as being 5-star. There had also been no mention of the deposit requirement in the hotel listing information when there should have been because international travellers won’t normally be carrying that amount of RMB cash. So I told them to remove all of the minibar items and take them out of the room so I could use the refrigerator. People weary from long-haul flights just want a friendly, welcoming, and hassle-free hotel experience that allows them to rest and relax, but this no longer happens at this hotel. So, I no longer recommend this hotel, and when I next pass through Nanjing Lukou airport, I'll be trying one of the other airport hotels.

This is the perfect hotel for a weekend getaway in Jinling Hotel Nanjing 新街口. The downtown area on Main Street is a best kept secret and the Jinling Hotel offers everything you need if you don’t feel like venturing out. We were given an upgrade to the executive room and breakfast was served on the 56th floor and we had an amazing time. The atmosphere and service were great. Definitely a must do if you are looking for a good time. The staff at this property are all great! They all go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable especially to Mr. 邢阳, thank you for making our stay a pleasant one.

Good hospitality Friendly staffs. Clean and comfortable bedrooms. Huge bedrooms & super king size bed is a plus point ! It’s nice to rest properly after a whole day outing. The guy manager is very smart solving my needs. This hotel is located in the middle of tourist town So it is very hard to get cab/taxi due to traffic congestion. However the metro is within walking distance. Great stay. Getting anywhere in Suzhou is very easy. Love the idea of they having 24hr laundry room .its definitely easing the stress of bringing back smelly clothes ( it’s really hot in Suzhou! & the immense sweats were horrible )

We stayed three nights here and everything was perfect .the hotel though old was well maintened.Tue Chinese restaurant is a must eat ,service and staff and food fabulous! But book early very popular .breakfast could be abit crazy when pack and they seemed to be short of staff.special kudos go out to the uncle who despite being a cleaner helped to set tables and stood in to serve. Also to concierge staff Devin li and the rest of the boys who were helpful in giving ideas on attractions .

From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and exceptional service at the front desk. The staff went out of their way to ensure I felt welcome and assisted with every request. Check-in was smooth. The room was spacious, impeccably clean, and beautifully decorated with modern amenities that made my stay comfortable. I especially loved the AI feature in the room. Additionally, the location of Anshe Hotel is perfect. It’s conveniently situated near the metro station and pingjiang lu, making it easy to explore. Overall, my stay at Anshe Hotel exceeded my expectations. I left feeling rejuvenated and satisfied, and I cannot wait for my next visit. A beautiful hotel, modern and stylish with lovely gardens and surroundings, worthy of IG photos. The hotel gave me a free upgrade, an executive suite with a private garden!! I was so surprised with the garden, such a delightful space with seating. Bed was very comfortable, free mini bar on the first day, and a stylish bathroom with bath tub. Breakfast was sufficient. The front desk staff spoke English and were very helpful in booking my boat trip, also thanks to Peter who was very courteous. Location is excellent, metro is a few metres away, and there is a new shopping village with some lovely western restaurants plus lots of stylish bars. The gardens are also nearby. Highly recommend this hotel.

Strategic location with nearby to most of the tourist spot and local food. Friendly customer services and easy for communication.

Love the apartment - super new and spacious. We were upgraded to a 2 bedroom apartment overlooking the main road. The apartment was very neat and clean. There was an inbuilt washer dryer unit which made it super convenient for us as a travelling family. Staff members were especially friendly and helpful, special kudos to Jessica and 美玲 who made sure our check-in and check-out processes were smooth and fast. Would expect this place to be even more popular, and bustling in time to come when the commercial areas around are in operation.

I recently stayed at this budget-friendly hotel, drawn by its affordable rates and convenient location just a 2-minute walk fromthe popular Tang Shan Street tourist spot. While the hotel was averagely clean, it lacked few amenities that travelers might expect. Communication was a bit challenging as the staff did not speak English, but they were friendly and did their best to assist. Overall, it's a decent optionfor those on a tight budget looking for a no-frills place to staynear the tourist attractions.

This is my 3rd stayed at Novotel. Location is more than perfect. Metro and Maga shopping malls are just across the street. Foods are plenty within 500m. Room is clean and hygienic. Bed is comfortable. Price is reasonable.Will be back again. Just to share, Previously used to use agoda and have been using for the past 15 years, averagely 5 booking yearly. But this time use Trip.com. Made a booking on 26Oct for 27Oct-4Nov to GZ, and realised made a mistake on the dates. Cancelled by mistake and realised there was a cancellation fees of 13%, amount 700CNY. Agoda claimed that the hotel refused the refund, but the money was collected by agoda instead. They lied repeatedly and pretended to assist to send email to the hotel management and kept pushing the blame to the hotel. I did another booking via trip.com and verified with the hotel. Integrity is an issue. No trust anymore. As such, start using Trip.com. In addition, trip.com give higher rewards.

Stayed 5 nights. Location wise, it's great. Right at the junction into Confucius Temple Walking Street. Plenty of food places. Metro is a short walk away. If you have luggages, better to walk from Confucius Temple Station rather than Wudingmen Station. Better walking conditions, less motorcycles

The location was excellent, and the open facilities were very good. I understand it's a ”China thing” that prevents outdoor swimming pools from being open to the public other than July - August - but it's ridiculous and one that a 5-star hotel should change. You advertise having an indoor and outdoor pool; however, 85% of the entire year, it is closed.... so how can you say you have an outdoor pool? It's false advertising. It was 32 degrees this weekend and perfect weather for the outdoor pool, but you didn't have it open - thus, I took away two stars on facilities. The service in the restaurant was EXCELLENT on the 45th floor, extremely good and well worth the 5stars; the front desk people also on the 1st floor incredible; however, the service in the (the indoor!!!) swimming pool was extremely average - feeling like being served from student intern vs. any 5star customer service at all. The service in the bar on the 78th floor was highly average. also, for 5star, with us having to ask for drinks and not a single smile when serving the drinks, while the 78th-floor views are breathtaking, the service was let down. Last but not least, our parents-in-law traveled with us and rang the front desk for help with the TV. They rang twice, and they were waiting for someone to help them. I have stayed at Intercontinental Hotels in other locations, and the service is always very good. While some departments at this location were good, they needed to be more balanced by the inconsistency of the other departments.

For travelers seeking a reliable, clean, and well-located hotel without breaking the bank, GreenTree Eastern Hotel is an excellent choice. It delivers all the essentials for a comfortable stay at a reasonable price point.

It is wonderful hotel with friendly receptionist and nice deco room. The breakfast and executive lounge foods very delicious. The location is in the centrum and near metro station. The room is quite big and with beautiful view. The indoor swim pool is big and clean. Everything's I met is good memory for me. I am sure I will come back when I visit Nanjing again.

Recommended by a friend, this is my first time staying at Atour! The hotel is in a great location, next to the Confucius Temple, and there are many places to eat. The hotel has complete and comfortable facilities, which is quite good. The hotel has a late-night canteen, which is also for show. It looks very dirty. I dare not eat after taking a look. The service of the hotel is not ideal, especially the front desk staff, who answered questions irrelevantly and did not feel any enthusiasm, which is not as good as ordinary Hanting. I wanted to apply for a membership card, but I had to pay an annual fee of 248 yuan, which is completely opposite to big hotels like Marriott and Hilton. I ordered takeout at night, but it was always left at the front desk without anyone taking care of it. This is the first time I have encountered such a situation, 😱...

The hotel facade may look old but it had been a very warm welcome by the staff and was a pleasant stay for us. The rooms were true to the pictures posted on Trip.com. Big thanks to Lobby Manager Deng Juan 邓娟 who was very attentive and helpful. Knowing that we didn't have a local number, she added me in WeChat so I may contact her if we need any assistance. She also helped coordinate with the kitchen for a slightly early breakfast when we had to check-out by 7am, which we really appreciated. Also, the housekeeper in-charge of our rooms ensured that we had sufficient bottled water during our stay. The hotel is also very close to shopping malls and many food options. I'm very glad to have chosen this hotel for our trip to Nanjing.

A cute hotel with a lovely Korean district right below! So close to the metro station! The room was generally clean and very comfortable. Would definitely recommend given the price!

I expect a bit more from hotel Nikko. I have stayed in different Nikko hotels pre-covid but the experience this time is disapponting. .I stayed in a number of hotel for my3-week HSR touring, ranging from the top end (shangri la) to small local hotel. I ranked Nikko at the bottom. Well the small local hotels improved a lot but Nikko sliding back.

The service is good. I made a note of the early morning arrival and flight number. I had never planned to make an appointment for pick-up because I arrived at 01:00. Thinking about it, many hotels are not within service hours! As a result, the hotel front desk took the initiative to call shortly after getting off the plane and immediately arranged a pick-up. In addition to upgrading the room, the entire hotel is so clean and the room facilities are so complete! !

Everything is good , clean, and well maintained. I really enjoyed staying there. Hotel staff was so polite to me.

Old oriental style hotel witha rich history. Look majestic and grand on the outside. (Interior of hotel in many nooks n corners are poorly maintained) Room service is superb. Super comfortable n firm bed. Located right within 太湖 (taihu lake) so you can jog/walk around the beautiful lake and giant ferris wheel in the morning and take in the fresh air. With outdoor pool n gym. Hotel food is mainly big fancy chinese restaurants n buffet. No casual dining . No western selection except the high tea cafe which serves some sandwiches and pasta. Hotel can organise ferry trip to turtlehead island

Very good hotel, bought the Three Kingdoms Water Margin City package, the Japanese food store on the first floor is also very good, the occupancy rate is very high, many rooms were not cleaned at 2 o'clock, the front desk service is very good, our three rooms were moved to the same floor, and one room was upgraded for free, the garden behind the hotel has a nice view, the only thing that is not good is the hotel buffet breakfast, there are not many varieties, the taste is average.

This is the 4th time we stay in this hotel, will choose to stay there again when we need to visit Wuxi again. Needless to say to say, it’s located just right at the high speed rail and metro, and many food options in the station. The new and big shopping mall right beside should be ready by now, but we did not go to the mall, so we are not exactly sure. Our colleague said that there’s also a f&b street with drinking pubs just 5 minutes walk away. But do ask for directions if you are interested. This time, the hotel was really nice to upgrade us to the suite rooms, despite us only booking the standard rooms. The room has very big and nice bathroom, wardrobe, with separate bedroom and living room space. Definitely highly recommended.

My family and I recently spent one night at the Hualuxe Wuxi Taihu Hotel and had a wonderful experience all round. The reception upon check in was so warm and welcoming and two of the staff spoke perfect English, making the process of checking in seamless. Even if language had been a barrier, the professionalism shown by the reception staff would have made it painless! We enjoyed leisurely drinks in the lobby after check-in where we were, once again, received with warmth and efficiency. At breakfast, which had a good selection of both local and foreign options, every single staff member greeted us with smiles and willingness to serve. We were certainly impressed by the professionalism demonstrated by all staff we encountered and were happy we had chosen the Hualuxe Wuxi Taihu Hotel as our destination. We will definitely be staying at this hotel again!

The hotel is super clean, smells nice. Bed is super comfortable and room is nicely designed with automatic curtains. Housekeeping ladies are super kind and did a wonderful job. Some Front desk personnel might not speak English but you can use a translator app, they are very patient and nice. Hotel is conveniently located, few steps from Nanchang road and 10 mins taxi from railway station.

We received a complimentary upgrade, as we had not yet received our purchased tickets to Nianhua Wan due to not having the China identity (as informed by trip agent & hotel). The breakfast provided was satisfying, offering a good start to our day. Despite the hotel's older appearance, it is well-maintained, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Overall, we were pleased with our experience and appreciated the hotel's efforts to accommodate us.
