King Parkview Hotel

This is the second time I held a meeting here. The hotel is clean and hygienic, the yard is very quiet, and the hotel is in a very good location, close to Tiananmen Square, Jingshan Park, and Houhai. The hotel is located at No. 55, Shatan Houjie, Jingshan East Street, Beijing. During the Ming Dynasty, this place was a solemn and majestic Ma Temple; during the Qing Dynasty, it became the residence of Princess Heshuo and Princess Hejia, the fourth daughter of Emperor Qianlong, commonly known as the "Four Princesses' Mansion". The only Qing-style buildings and mathematics department buildings and fourteen rows of Chinese bungalows in the "Western House" of the former Imperial University of Peking are now preserved. In 1898, the Imperial University of Peking was founded, and the "Princess Heshuo and Princess Hejia Mansion" located on Shatan Houjie, which had been idle for many years, was allocated as a school building. As the first modern institution of higher learning in China, it is the product of the Reform Movement of 1898 and the only achievement that has been retained after the failure of the Reform Movement. With the change of times, the Republic of China was established in 1912, the Qing Dynasty ended, and the Imperial University of Peking also ushered in a new name-Peking University. In 1918, the Red Building of Peking University rose from the ground and became the new landmark of Peking University. The former Fourth Princess Mansion campus was renamed "Peking University Second College", also known as the School of Science, and continued to carry the academic torch. Generations of outstanding scholars such as Cai Yuanpei, Yan Fu, Chen Duxiu, Li Dazhao, Hu Shi, and Lu Xun have all lectured on this land, leaving behind a rich academic legacy. In 1951, Peking University moved to the former site of Yenching University in the western suburbs, and the architectural remains of the Imperial University of Peking were mainly left in the courtyards of No. 55 to No. 59, Shatan Houjie.

The hotel is in an alley but easy to travel, not hard to find, there are staff who can speak a little English, the bed is soft, comfortable to sleep, the staff changes towels and cleans every day and in front of the hotel, walk out a little bit, there are convenience stores and many restaurants, plus very delicious. Traveling back and forth at night is not dangerous, there are security guards opening the car barrier and hotel staff taking care of it, but the only disadvantage is that the smell of cigarette smoke from other rooms comes into the room, you have to find a spray to spray to eliminate the smell.
