This time I traveled to Chengdu and stayed in Mercure for two days in the city. I had a good impression of Mercure. I thought it would be convenient to the Panda Base. The room is very good in all aspects, it is in a very high-end building. There were some problems with the service. After the store took us to the room, we showed him our ID card. He took a photo of our ID card directly with his mobile phone. This is actually illegal. Usually, the ID card information is uploaded to the check-in system or the system connected to the public security. Before staying in other hotels, either read the ID card directly at the front desk, or the front desk took a machine that could be uploaded to the room. This direct photo with a mobile phone is very irregular, which makes people very worried about information security issues. The check-in process is very unprofessional.

I brought my children here to play during the summer vacation and stayed at Yuandao Hotel on Tianfu 1st Street. The hotel service is considerate. It is very close to Water Street, Huanqiu, and the subway entrance. It is very close to the business district of the High-tech Zone. You can take Line 5 for travel. The hotel's underground parking is free and very convenient.

Before confirming, I came to see the room first. The front office manager enthusiastically led me to visit the room, and then I decisively booked their suite. We had a lovely stay at this hotel for 2 nights, it is located around the lively neighborhood area and 15 to 20 mins walking distance to Chunxi Road and Taikooli. The entire hotel highlights the heritage and environment preservation as you can see from room amenities and interior design. The hotel staffs showed their hospitality with heart and care, especially Mr. Cui who initiated small talk with us whenever he saw us. Hotel breakfast was decent with adequate selection of local cuisine. We also booked the photography session with professional photographer, highly recommend to book in advance. We would definitely visit again whenever we come to Chengdu!

GGuest User”Create the wilderness in the south, stay humble and return to the countryside”, the name is full of poetry and picturesqueness, but I went there because of the zero negative reviews. I thought what kind of B&B makes everyone like it so much that I can't bear to leave negative reviews. Stayed for one night and it was a really different experience. Simple, ancient style, ancient charm and a bit of Zen. If you wander around the courtyard for nothing, you will find a lot of ingenuity, such as throwing pots, shooting arrows, teasing the parrot that can only bark but cannot speak, and writing calligraphy; you can also watch Meditate, meditate, relax, and forget the troubles of the world with eyes full of green. In front of the hall, there is a cactus owned by Mr. Gu, who is over 80 years old, and it makes me deeply moved. I ate breakfast while smelling the fragrance of books. It was a really different feeling. The breakfast and dinner were exquisite and rich, and many arrangements surprised you. The staff are friendly and make you feel at home, all in all a pleasant trip.

CChrissy_HankMy boyfriend and I stayed at the Crowne Plaza Chengdu Panda Garden during our visit to Chengdu. We were really impressed with how beautiful the hotel was and how friendly the staff was. Upon check-in, they upgraded our room to a very spacious panda room, and I must say, the view from our bedroom window was immaculate. The hotel provided a shuttle to go to the Panda breeding park. My only disappointment was I didn’t stay long, as our visit to Chengdu was short. Despite the hotel's location, I will highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Chengdu. I really love my stay, and I will definitely be staying back here when I revisit Chengdu.

GGuest User1) Subway station is 30 seconds right across the road.
2) Location is good because it is enveloped by a few famous narrow alleys selling handicraft, snacks, desserts, souvenirs, Chinese artwork etc, and have endless food stalls, coffee shops that surround the hotel, buzzing with activities all day till at least 11pm.
3) Hotel staff speak minimal English but they do understand it albeit not able to converse freely. Naturally using PTH is best.
4) Staff in the entire hotel are very friendly, courteous, pleasant and accommodating, trying to help in any way possible.
5) Bespectacled night manageress in a black suit was very welcoming and sweet. She offered to upgrade us when the room originally assigned for us was not as quiet as we had requested when we booked it. She led us to see the original one ( 2/F )and the other one ( the quieter one on 3/F ) and let us choose.
6) The upgraded room ( 3/F ) was a suite and it was really nice --- very quiet with courtyard view and tasteful lay out.
7) Cannot praise enough for the delightful suite -- spacious and elegant ; super clean ; smells nice , refreshing and just right not overwhelming ; white crispy bed linen ; daily turn down service; endless supply of fresh bottled water on daily basis ; spotless tumbler and fresh bottle of water by the bedside table every evening; everything you touch is spotless ; wooden flooring matching Chinese wooden furniture in simple design giving out this classy Chinese feel ; free to consume anything for the 1st time in the mini bar ; tea & coffee replenished daily ; kettle and coffee machine; free stationery like scissors, stapler, clips, pencil and pens etc; toiletries like vanity set, combs, toothbrush etc replenished daily ; spacious bathroom with double wash basins and clean white towels ; wash basins in rose gold but not tacky; shower drainage not smooth on 1st night but they fixed it and no prob thereafter ; water pressure from shower was good and plenty of marble top inside shower room for your own toiletries ; bathtub with fresh rose petals on 1st night and various types of bath salt ; big screen to watch telly while in tub ; separate toilet near living room; ample wardrobe space and power operated blinds and black out blinds. They provide steam iron on request but it would be better to have a proper flat iron if you want to press pants and other thicker harder material. Steam iron is only good for silk or plain cotton. Even linen is better with a flat iron.
8) This is a 100% Chinese ambience hotel from lobby to our suite but nothing is gaudy or ostentatious because everything is simple, no fuss, low-key, very clean, good architecture, functional and all colour combo is soothing to the eyes.
9) We ate at their restaurant the 1st night and food was ok -- dan dan noodles slightly overcooked so it was a bit mushy. Fried rice was a huge serving with fresh shrimps and nicely cooked. Tea could be hotter. Service was attentive, efficient and proper.

WWen KaiGreat and convenient location, to the point we extended another night stay. Only 200m to People's Park station, subway Line 2, which can connect you almost anywhere. Able to walk to People's Park and Kuanzhai Alley, even Tianfu Square if you can walk 2km. Also have a convenience store available downstairs of the same building, and Hong Qi store if you walk a bit further. Many tour agencies are on the opposite road, where you can book day tours. The tour bus pickup and drop off points are also only around 1km from this building, easy to walk to due to the extra-wide sidewalks. It's facing the main road so you can easily get taxis as well.
The building is easy to locate, but the check in counter is more confusing to find. When looking in from the main road, the convenience store is on the left, so you need to go to the opposite side of the convenience store. You need to walk to the back of the building and find the entrance facing the wall with a car park boom gate. There is a security guard and there are lots of online delivery boxes. Then, access the elevator and the reception is on level 26.
There was a washing machine and detergent available in our unit, which we utilized. Other than the clothes hanging bar in the kitchen, the rest of the unit lacked places to hang things such as wet towels. It was a 1 bedroom 1 bathroom unit with another queen bed in the living room. Hot water was always available though you have to fiddle with the lever and wait some time. The kitchen only had a water kettle and a few mugs. There's a primary school right beside the building and you can hear the students every weekday morning. (My photos were taken just before checkout so don't mind the mess)
The owners are an exceptionally friendly couple who are hardworking and provide excellent service. They are open to feedback and we've told them what we think was lacking in our unit. Hopefully they will implement the small improvements. They also recommended a few restaurants to us that had good local food and were reasonably priced.
Recommend to add them on WeChat prior to arrival and communicate your arrival time. They wait at the front desk past midnight if they don't know the guest's check in time. However, they can only communicate in Mandarin, so you may face some difficulty.

RRene Leonard MendozaChengdu became a trip to remember, especially because of my hotel accommodation at Nicesoe Hotel.
If you have an early return flight scheduled, this hotel is one of the best places you can find because of its proximity to the airport (roughly 20 minutes based on experience).
Dayuan subway station (Line 5) is also 12 minutes away if you are just walking. Meanwhile, Saiho Mall and Citywalk also offer some varieties for local shops and bars.
The service was also top notch for me. Shortly after the check-in, they got in touch by adding my WeChat and establishing the communication line. Through WeChat, they were able to check on me and offer assistance for much of what I needed for the duration of my stay.
When I started my holiday, I actually sprained my left foot and they were very generous in offering their ice packs so that I can treat my sprain.
In addition to these, they also suggested places of interest that I can visit around Chengdu.
My luck was on a roll and I won lots of toys in the lottery. Unfortunately, my luggage wasn't enough to bring them all. Thankfully, one of their personnel, Rose, assisted me in shipping them back to my home city.
The overall experience is amazing and I am totally satisfied with the services, plus the hotel room I got which was overlooking the city. If you are a first timer in Chengdu, I would really recommend this place! They are true to their word that they had posted in their basic information page: Any foreigner, of any nationality is welcome!

GGuest UserWe were upgraded to a small single-family villa for free, which is really nice. It also comes with a separate parking space and a private hot spring. The service attitudes of the service staff, housekeepers, and sisters in the hot spring center are all very good, very gentle, and make guests feel at home. The design of the courtyard inside is very quiet. It is really great and comfortable to go there on weekdays. I want to walk around a few more times. The privacy of the room is also very good. The toiletries are also from Marlin Dog, which is easy to use. We ordered the meals in the restaurant separately. Some are relatively cheap and some are expensive. It’s up to you to decide how to spend your money, but they are really delicious and the quality is very good, which is worth the price. The breakfast is also delicious, with a variety of Chinese and Western food. I will still want to come here next time I want to take a hot spring bath~ I highly recommend it
