3-Star Hotels in Hay

The main street of Hay offers quite a few motels but chance brought us to this one. The appearance from the road is not great but it was obvious that a lot of work has been done recently. Reception was wonderful. The management here is keen to be helpful and pleasant to guests. The room itself was excellent - clean and comfortable. It looked as though the cupboards etc had been recently installed. Everything in the room was clean, neat and looked brand new. Large flat screen TV, internet, jug, microwave. Bathroom was good - again the vanity unit looked new. There was a glass shower and plenty of hot water. The pool looked clean and tidy but we did not try it. This place was much better than the outside appearance and it appears that the management is on a program of continual improvement. It offered excellent value. Location is walking distance to hotels and the bowls club where we had very good Chinese food. We would not hesitate to stay again.

Late check in was smooth. Good place for a short stay. It’d be better if there was a fan in the toilet.
