The hotel is clean and quiet, and it’s a short (20-Minute) walk from the stunning Yuyaochang Imperial Kiln museum. Several bars and cafes are nearby, but there’s almost nothing that opens before 10:00am — and since the hotel doesn’t offer breakfast, if you want a morning coffee, you’re out of luck. Still, the neighborhood has a shabby charm and is far better than the grim downtown. Also, the staff was very friendly and let us have a late checkout.

We chose this hotel without thinking during the Qingming Festival, but it gave us an unexpectedly comfortable experience. It is still a good deal to book Holiday Inn Express at this price in Jingdezhen on the eve of the Spring Festival. The hotel location is OK, and it is within walking distance of Taoxichuan and Sculpture Ceramics Factory. The lobby is not big but the layout is quite distinctive. The service attitude is very good. The only disadvantage is that the surrounding environment is a mess, and the scenery from the hotel window is hard to describe.

The breakfast variety is OK, and there is a wide range of choices. The mattress is hygienic and the quilts and sheets are very clean and have no odor. However, the standard room is very small, and the bathroom and shower room are even narrower. The distance between the toilet and the washbasin is so narrow that you will hit the toilet behind you when washing your face. When the bathroom door is opened, it will hit the glass door of the bathroom. Every time you go in, you have to be very careful to push it open so as not to hit the glass. The conditioner is not updated in time after use, and it is a decoration. When you wipe your face with the face towel, you smell a used smell, which is a bit disgusting. There are seven or eight steps from the underground parking lot to the elevator, and it is a bit difficult to drag the luggage. The temperature was 18 degrees when I checked in, but the air conditioner in the hotel room only had hot air. The room was about 24 degrees without the air conditioner, and it would be over 26 degrees in ten minutes after the air conditioner was turned on. But the environment was very stuffy with the doors and windows closed without the air conditioner. There was no cold air. The sleeping comfort was very poor. It was hot when I covered myself with a quilt, but cold when I didn't. I sweated a lot in the middle of the night, so I had to open the window for ventilation. I didn't sleep well all night.

Jingdezhen is mainly based on porcelain. The shape of their hotel is like a big bowl. My mother has thought of the advertising slogan, ”Come to the bowl quickly.” There is a ground parking lot with charging spaces.
