The valley is just a short drive from Göreme, making it super accessible. I booked a two-hour guided horse ride that cost around 400 TRY (roughly $15 USD), which was totally worth it for the views and the experience of exploring this beautiful place from a different perspective. My horse was gentle and well-trained, perfect for a beginner like me, but still lively enough to make the ride exciting. Our guide was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, sharing stories about the history and geology of the area, which made the whole experience even richer. 🌄 As we rode through the winding trails, we passed by ancient rock-cut churches and pigeon houses, carved into the cliffs centuries ago. The peace and tranquility of the valley were so calming, with only the sound of hooves and the occasional bird breaking the silence. We started our mornings with a hot air balloon ride at sunrise, which is absolutely a must-do! 🌅 Watching dozens of colorful balloons drift over the valleys and into the sky was so surreal. It cost about $150 per person, but the experience was worth every penny. The view from up there with the sun lighting up the horizon was just breathtaking! 🎈 We stayed in one of those famous cave hotels in Göreme, which was such a unique experience. The rooms were cozy and cool, and waking up to the view of balloons right outside our window was incredible! 🏨 During the day, we explored the Göreme Open-Air Museum, where we saw ancient rock-cut churches with beautiful frescoes. The entrance fee was around 150 Turkish Lira, which was quite reasonable for the history and art we got to see. After that, we took a hike through Love Valley, which was perfect for some quiet time surrounded by nature and those iconic fairy chimneys. For me flying in a hot air balloon is an amazing experience, as is watching the balloons in the air from the top of the hill. I could see the combination of colours in the sky along the rock formation called the fairy chimney. It felt unreal. As crowded as the sky gets WITH BALLOONS, it is not like they are jostling for space or getting in the way of people appreciating the landscapes beneath. Cappadocia really is a magical place. The moment I reached Goreme town, I was so amazed with the surrounding. So quiet. So serene. All I can see was monotone colour of the place. The stones covered by thin layer of snow hence the place look so amazing. It was 5° when I reach there. It was freezing due the slow wind blows. I walked through the town to go to the cave hotel. Next, the hot air balloon! I was lucky to be able to ride the hot air balloon during my 2 nights stay. Mind you the balloon was cancelled 3 days in a row before I arrive due to the harsh-windy weather. THE WHOLE VIEW OF CAPPADOCIA WAS AMAZING!!!! When the balloon slowly cruise in the air, and you can enjoy the view of Cappadocia from the above, indescribable feeling. It was freezing by the way 😆 After the balloon ride, I pay a visit to a few signatures of Cappadocia. Such an unforgettable moment. I crossed a #bucketlist trip off my list and went in a #hotairballoon ride in #cappadocia #turkey It is simply magical being in the air and watching hundreds of balloons at sunrise! Most rides are 60 minutes long and will start about 5 am. But it is definitely worth it to have this once in a lifetime experience. If it is shoulder season (before June or after October), you can book your ride relatively last minute. It will also be more affordable then. We booked our ride through Airbnb experiences and the process was very easy! We had trouble confirming the pick up time the day before and not knowing if the activity will proceed as planned and this causes a lot of distress on our plans. The best place to go for horse riding they are probably the best in Cappadocia, Goreme👌 Here they have safety in mind for all types of riders they have good horses and you can tell they have been looking after their horses 🐎 This is a magnificent experience while in Cappadocia, probably the best adventure that you'll have. The ride of almost 2 hours took us through snow breathtaking landscapes and the experience of doing it on horseback was spectacular. One of the most impressive places I've seen so far. I spent a week on a fantastic hiking tour in Cappadocia National Park. I couldn't stop taking pictures. This one is called Love Valley. It’s a hiking trail which span around 6-7 km and would take you around 3 hours to walk, of course depending on your speed. It is a a surreal place with dreamy views and awesome scenic beauties. The love valley is astonishingly peaceful and so silent. One can see the caves and little hillocks all around. The horizon is endless and mind is peaceful.
