Miaofa Zen Temple

Miaofa Zen Temple, also known as Lvzu Temple, is located in Beiliang, Donghe District. It is the largest Han Buddhist temple in western Inner Mongolia. It was built in the third year of Xianfeng in the Qing Dynasty (1853). The main buildings are the mountain gate, the Hall of Heavenly Kings, Lvzu Hall, and the Great Buddha's Hall (with Guanyin Hall, Dizang Hall, and Ancestor Hall). The Jade Emperor Hall is on the north side of the Hall of Heavenly Kings, and the City God Hall is on the south side. The South Courtyard is the Buddha Hall, and the North Courtyard is the 500 Arhats Hall. The temple is unique in that it combines Buddhism and Taoism, attracting a large number of tourists and believers every year.
