Shimen Academy in Beijing is open to the public for free.

The existing academy was rebuilt later, mainly reflecting the three major functions of ancient academies: worship, teaching, and book collection. The ancient gate on Moshikou Street is open, with the words "Shimen Academy" written on it. Inside is a courtyard with a unique style, especially the very thoughtful layout, with many small details, such as persimmons on the windowsill, green grass under the trees, and flower arrangements on the table.
