Dongyue Temple

Qing Dynasty Emperor Qianlong's "Dongyue Temple Pilgrimage Poem": The capital is bustling, but don't be annoyed, the beautiful scenery is quiet and pleasant. The old pine trees are like dragon scales, the hall is cool and the crane wings are about to fly. Dongyue Temple was built in the Yuan Dynasty and was the site of national sacrifices in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Dongyue Temple is famous for its "three many": many statues, many inscriptions, and many couplets and plaques. The Ming Dynasty golden nanmu statue in the Yude Hall is a national first-class cultural relic. The bronze te, said to be the mount of the Wenchang Emperor, is a mythical beast called "te", with the head of a horse, the body of a mule, the tail of a donkey, and the hooves of a cow. It is said that touching it can cure diseases.
