Preparation • Ticket reservation: Follow the official WeChat account "畅游公园" to reserve tickets in advance. Regular tickets are CNY 5 per person, and combo tickets are CNY 15 per person. Tickets are available for specific time slots, and you can enter the park by scanning your ID card. • Check opening hours: 6:30–20:00 from January to March and November to December; 6:00–21:00 from April to May and September to October; 6:00–22:00 from June to August. • Plan your route: Plan your route in advance according to your time and interests. Transportation • Subway: Take Line 6 to Beihai North Station, and leave from Exit B (northeast). Cross the road to reach the north gate of Beihai Park. • Bus: Take bus 13, 42, 107, 111, 118, 612, or 701 to Beihai Park North Gate; take bus 5 to Xibanqiao Station for the east gate; take bus 5, 101, 103, 109, 124, 128, Special Line 1, or Special Line 2 to Beihai Station for the south gate or southwest gate. Recommended routes • Classic route: Enter through the north gate - Western Paradise - Nine Dragon Screen - Chanfu Temple - Wanfo Tower Ruins & Stone Stele - Jile World Hall - Five Dragon Pavilion - Take the ferry from Five Dragon Pavilion Wharf to Yilan Hall Wharf - White Pagoda - Yong'an Bridge - Return to Five Dragon Pavilion Wharf from Qionghua Island Wharf - Exit through the north gate. • In-depth route: Enter through the east gate - Lotus Viewing Area - Yong'an Temple - White Pagoda - Yilan Hall - Five Dragon Pavilion Wharf - Chanfu Temple - Xiaoxitian - Kuaixue Hall - Nine Dragon Screen - Western Paradise - Jingxin Studio - Qincan Hall - Xiancan Altar - Huafang Studio - Beihai Royal Post - Haopu Jian - Zhishan Bridge - Exit through the east gate. • History and culture route: Enter through the south gate - Yong'an Temple - White Pagoda - Head east down the mountain - Qionghua Island Chun Yin Stele - Corridor - Yilan Hall - Yuegu Tower - Return to Yong'an Bridge - Round City - Exit through the south gate of Beihai Park. Main attractions • White Pagoda: Built in the 8th year of the Shunzhi period in the early Qing Dynasty, this is a Tibetan-style lama pagoda. It is 35.9 meters tall, with a round top and square base. It is a Sumeru-style pagoda with a canopy and top, decorated with sun, moon, and flame patterns. • Nine Dragon Screen: Built in 1756, this screen has a history of over 200 years. It is made entirely of colored glazed bricks, with vivid shapes, bright colors, and exquisite craftsmanship. It is a precious work of glazed architecture in China. • Jingxin Studio: This is a garden within a garden in Beihai Park. It is full of pavilions and towers, with strange rocks and a clever layout. It has the characteristics of a Jiangnan garden. • Western Paradise: This area contains the Daci Zhenru Hall and other buildings. It is magnificent, and the golden nanmu wood structure of the Daci Zhenru Hall is very precious. Other suggestions • Dining: There are dining spots in the park, such as Qingfeng Steamed Bun Shop. You can also bring your own water and snacks. • Guide: You can rent a Yunting Beihai deposit-free guide at the south gate and north gate for about CNY 29.9. • Stamps: There are five stamp points in the park: Shuanghong Pavilion, Beihai Gifts, Beihai North Tea Cafe, Can Altar Cultural and Creative Store, and Beihai Royal Post.
