One of the most famous tourist routes in Norway, Trollstigen "Elf Road"

#100 Ways to Travel #naturalscape We stayed in the camping area of Andalsnes on July 2, 2024. We originally wanted to go directly from the camping area Andalsnes Camping & Motell ➝ (take the E136 bend 63 highway) ➝ Elf Road (about 5km) ➝ Trollstigen Utsiktpunkt viewing platform, but it is a pity. Vehicles will be prohibited from entering due to road collapse in 2024, and there is no word on when the control will last, so if you want to go to the Elf Road, you can only take a long detour! So it takes about 145km (2hr18mins), but free travel means being spontaneous, and there are long days of sunshine, so we decided to take a detour. Going to the viewing platform is really worth it! It’s so beautiful to see the spectacular switchback road with your own eyes In the past, it was a concept of going from A (Andalsnes) to B (Trollstigen Utsiktpunkt). Now I really have to go there specially to go to Trollstigen Utsiktpunkt. Because the road is impassable, I can only take Highway 63 at the other end to enter the Trollstigen Utsiktpunkt viewing platform, and then come out the same way. Go on another trip. It takes a little more time. Perhaps because of this, there are not as many tourists as expected. The parking lot of the Trollstigen Utsiktpunkt observation deck is right next to the Trollstigen Visitor Centre, and there is also Trollstigen Souvenirbutik, a souvenir shop. Walk along the wooden boardwalk next to the visitor center. The surrounding area is surrounded by wooden boardwalks erected along the glacial river. It is gentle and nice. Along the way, there is water flowing down from the glacier river, which is super clear and super cold. There is also a paddling pool where you can step into the water directly. The super comfortable building is integrated with the entire environment, super simple and beautiful. It is considered a barrier-free trail, and there is a landscape platform at the end of the boardwalk. If you want to get to the Trollstigen Utsiktpunkt observation deck, you must continue walking up the stairs next to it. This section of stairs has been specially built and is quite easy to walk. Along the way you can see the most beautiful zigzag mountain road, which is super beautiful and spectacular. At the end of the trail is Trollstigen Utsiktpunkt. The whole journey is very suitable for parents and children. We saw many Europeans carrying a baby on their backs, and then bringing a small child beside them. The children were allowed to walk along the trail, climb up and down, and even play in the water area. Play with water. Look how elegant and comfortable Europeans are when raising their children! #Norway #Elf Road #Golden Road #self-driving #free travel #parent-child travel #parent-child travel #familytravel 2024/7/3 The Path of Elves has shared several articles before, and I will integrate them again. Andalsnes ➝ (Take E136 curve 63) ➝ Elf Road (about 5km) ➝ Trollstigen Utsiktpunkt Observation Deck => This route is not accessible Change to Sylte ➝ (Take Highway 63) ➝ Trollstigen Utsiktpunkt Observation Deck (need to enter and exit the same way) Trollstigen Visitor Center Follow the wooden boardwalk next to the visitor center. The first half of the trail is barrier-free. At the end of the boardwalk, you will reach a landscape platform. There are stairs on the last section to the Trollstigen Utsiktpunkt viewing platform.
