The A route is almost entirely by boat (round trip about 2.5h), and the B route requires walking about 3km to reach the main scenic area before taking the return trip. The boat has two ordinary cabins inside, and there are booth seats on the top deck (extra tickets required). When we went on the weekend, it was basically full, which can be a bit stuffy, but there is a river breeze outside the cabin, super cool! 🥣 After reaching the main scenic area, you can see many farmstays, but eating there means climbing a very steep slope, so wear comfortable clothing. The taste of Yichang cuisine is quite similar to Sichuan cuisine, with a dish of stir-fried tofu skin (？), very fragrant! After eating, continue climbing up to see the Bell and Drum Tower, overlooking the Qingjiang River. 🎤 After the return trip, you can watch a performance in the theater, about 45min, the performers are very professional and dedicated, and the content is all about the local folk song performances. The day we went was a sunny day, very sunny. Personally, I think the Qingjiang Gallery is more suitable for rainy and foggy days, it would definitely be more beautiful!
