Visit Rongchang Xiabu Town Xiabu Town is located on the banks of the Laixi River in Rongchang City, covering an area of more than 100 mu. The main buildings are antique and consist of 24 courtyards in the style of the Ming and Qing Dynasties. It is a cultural tourism scenic spot that integrates the national Xiabu Expo, research and development, display and sales, and intangible cultural heritage experience. Rongchang Xiabu has become one of the national intangible cultural heritages with its unique handicraft skills. Rongchang Xiabu is made of reed hemp and is known as the "king of natural fibers". It is an excellent fabric for making clothes and handicrafts. The development of the Xiabu product series has been included in the Chongqing Science and Technology Xingyu 10 Billion Project, and the finished products of Xiabu are mainly sold to South Korea, Japan, Europe, the United States, and Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan. Xiabu is also used to produce Rongchang folding fans. Rongchang folding fans have a production history of more than 300 years and are one of the three famous fans in China, along with Suzhou and Hangzhou fans. The folding fan technique was introduced to Rongchang during the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty. After generations of craftsmen's exquisite creation, it gradually developed into a traditional folk craft with a unique style in Rongchang and became a national intangible cultural heritage. The town is decorated with lanterns and colorful lights, and there are four public platforms: the China Xiabu Museum, the China Xiabu Painting and Calligraphy Academy, the Xiabu Public Display and R&D Center, and the Xiabu Information Release Center. 🎈China Xiabu Museum The exhibition hall covers a total area of about 1,200 square meters and is divided into three floors. The first floor is the Xiabu Traditional Culture and Skills Exhibition Hall, the second floor is the Xiabu Industry Grand View Hall, and the third floor is the Xiabu Industry Future Outlook Hall. However, when we went there, it was almost 12 noon, so we didn't visit the Xiabu Exhibition Hall. 🎈Yiqiu Hall The "Yiqiu Hall" Xiabu Workshop in the center of the town has a beautiful appearance. This is an experience workshop. There are also "Jiahe" Xiabu Experience Workshop and more than 10 mobile traditional handicraft workshops in the town, where tourists can experience and learn traditional skills such as weaving and dyeing. At the same time, some high-end fashion clothes, curtains, bedding, and other Xiabu products are also sold.
