⛪️I was so lucky to visit the Shicuo Church during the most beautiful ginkgo season! The Shicuo Church was built in 1856 during the reign of Emperor Xianfeng of the Qing Dynasty. It was funded and built by the Church of England. It was a place for foreigners to gather and worship at Cangqian Mountain. 🍁Best time to see the ginkgo trees: The ginkgo season in Fuzhou comes late, usually around 10 days from the end of December to New Year's Day. The ground is covered with golden ginkgo leaves, like a carpet. It's so beautiful. 📝Tips: The Shicuo Church is not open to the public, and you can only see it through the iron gate. I was lucky that day because it was temporarily open. But as soon as it opened, a lot of people rushed in. Some aunties sat on the ground, picking up and scattering leaves 🍁, and many people climbed onto the flower beds. It was a bit scary, and no one could stop them.
