Enter the volcano and feel the magic

During my days in Haikou, I finally saw the blue sky and white clouds. I couldn't miss the opportunity! I took a taxi straight to Haikou Volcano Park (Leiqiong Global Geopark). The park is located at No. 89, Fengjing Road, Shishan Town, Xiuying District, Haikou. It is the only coastal volcanic geopark in China. The park covers a total area of 108 square kilometers, with more than 40 Quaternary volcanoes and more than 60 lava tunnels, covering various types of basaltic volcanoes. The park has more than 10,000 mu of tropical primary and secondary rainforests, with a vegetation coverage rate of more than 85%, and is known as the "green lung of Haikou". The park uses local materials to build unique buildings such as forts, ancestral halls, temples, ancient wells, and stone houses with volcanic rocks, showing the unique architectural style and culture of the local area. We walked from the entrance and climbed nearly a thousand steps, went down to the bottom of the volcano, observed the vegetation at the bottom of the volcano, felt the cool air, and then climbed to the top of the volcano to see the panoramic view of Haikou. We saw many magical plants and marveled at the tenacity of life. It is a magical volcano with a tropical diverse ecology. The park is open every day from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm. The ticket price varies according to age, and there are discounts for special groups. Seniors over 70 years old can enter for free.
