The city between two lakes at the foot of Jungfrau--Interlaken

Interlaken is a Swiss city at the foot of Jungfrau and one of Switzerland's famous holiday resorts, known for its stunning scenery all year round. As one of the important gateways to Jungfrau, the Latin name means 'between two lakes,' referring to its location between Lake Thun and Lake Brienz. To its southeast lies the magnificent Jungfrau, making it the starting point for tourism in the Swiss Alps. Interlaken is also a must-pass place to reach Jungfraujoch, eventually becoming a famous holiday destination in Europe. In the city center on Hoheweg Street, on a wide green area called Hohematte, you can clearly see the beautiful silhouette of Jungfrau. No matter when you pass by this green area, you can always encounter the beauty of Jungfrau. This meadow was once the garden of a monastery and is now prohibited from any construction to prevent damage to this beautiful landscape. The climate here is mild all year round, with beautiful lakes and mountains and a pleasant environment. Walking across the bridge over the Aare River that runs through the town, you will reach the ancient town of Unterseen, built in 1279. Walking along the river, you will find a church preserved since the 14th century. Since Interlaken is not large, exploring this tourist town on foot is very convenient.
