Kaiping Diaolou Zili Village.

One of the World Cultural Heritage Sites, it reflects the extensive exchange of Chinese and Western cultures in Chinese villages in modern times. Zili Village is composed of three natural villages: Anheli, Heanli, and Yong'anli, and the villagers are all descendants of the Fang family. If you only have time to visit one diaolou, Zili Village is the best choice. There are 9 diaolou and 6 houses, but only Mingshi Tower, Yunhuan Tower, and Yeshengju House are open to the public. 1. Mingshi Tower is the residence of Master Huang in the movie "Let the Bullets Fly." Built in 1925, this diaolou has a beautiful shape, complete interior furnishings, and a rooftop platform with a wide view. 2. Yunhuan Tower was built in 1921. The owner was a teacher who went to Southeast Asia to make money and returned to China to build the diaolou. The interior is simple. 3. Yeshengju House was struck by lightning twice, allegedly because gold was hidden in the walls. Ticket: CNY 78/person Opening hours: 9:10–17:50 Note: 1. If you have time, you can visit Zili Village and Li Garden. Zili Village: Great experience and great photos. Li Garden: A sophisticated combination of Eastern and Western aesthetics, not far away. Joint tickets for Li Garden and Zili Village are recommended, CNY 150/person. 2. In my opinion, this is the best diaolou scenic area. Visit in May for the blooming phoenix flowers and in October for the golden rice fields. 3. Pioneer Tianxia Granary Bookstore: At the entrance of Zili Village. If you don't visit Zili Village, there's no need to make a special trip. The popular bookstore is mostly visited by tourists.
