I finally figured out how to enjoy the Shanghai Zoo after visiting it

The Shanghai Zoo is located at No. 2381 Hongqiao Road, Changning District, Shanghai, China. It is a comprehensive zoo that integrates wildlife protection, scientific research, popular science education, and entertainment and leisure, covering an area of 740,000 square meters. The Shanghai Zoo is divided into six areas based on different functions. - Amphibian and Reptile Area: Located at the east of the entrance of the Shanghai Zoo, the main building is the Amphibian and Reptile House, which is divided into seven parts: the Preface Hall, Aquarium, Amphibian Hall, Lizard Hall, Non-Venomous Snake Hall, Venomous Snake Hall, and Ecological Hall. The outdoor area covers 200 square meters, mainly exhibiting amphibians such as the giant salamander, monitor lizards, and tortoises. - Science Education Hall: Located to the west of the scenic area gate, it was rebuilt from the brick-wood structure of the Hundred Flowers Hall in 1992 and opened in 1994. Covering an area of 2,200 square meters, it consists of two rooms for nature conservation exhibitions and is used for special events and science education promotion. - Primate Area: Located to the west of the Science Education Hall, it can be divided into two major parts, north and south. The northern part mainly features large apes, while the southern part mainly features monkeys and small apes. - Bird Area: Located to the north of the Science Education Hall, the main venues include Swan Lake, the Walk-in Aviary, Peacock Garden, Tropical Bird House, and Flamingo Ecological Exhibition Area. The Peacock Garden was built in 2001 and is planted with various plants, allowing visitors to observe birds up close. The Flamingo Ecological Exhibition Area was built in 2002, where visitors can observe flamingos' unique "one-legged" resting posture. - Carnivore Area: Located to the northwest of the Bird Area, the main exhibition areas include the Maned Wolf Exhibition Area and the Giant Panda House. The Maned Wolf Exhibition Area covers 3,150 square meters, with a building area of 95 square meters, divided into an outdoor sports field and an indoor exhibition hall, where visitors can observe maned wolves through large transparent glass. The Giant Panda House is a fan-shaped building with an indoor exhibition hall and an outdoor activity field, where visitors can watch giant pandas through glass. - Herbivore Area: Located to the southwest of the Carnivore Area, the main buildings include the Elephant House and the Giraffe House. The Elephant House was built in 1955, covering an area of 1,550 square meters, consisting of an indoor activity field, a viewing hall, and four vestibules. The Giraffe House was built in 1965, with a building area of 712 square meters, consisting of cages and an outdoor activity field. The outdoor activity field is planted with grass and large trees, facilitating the observation of giraffe activities.
