The room was about 44 square meters and rectangular. On one side of the entrance was a closet and safe, and on the other side was the bathroom. The bathroom, shower, and sink were separate, and there was a bathtub. The glass design allowed you to enjoy the view while taking a bath. The room had a 55- or 67-inch TV to meet your entertainment needs. The balcony could be opened, and the view was different in the morning and evening. The main building room 23 had a double-sized balcony because there was an escape route next to it, which was very pleasant. - 🛌Supplies/facilities: The minibar was stocked with soft drinks before check-in, and the concierge promptly delivered fruit after check-in. The room key was an old-fashioned magnetic stripe card, and you needed to insert an extra card to get electricity. - 💗Other tips: The executive lounge had a limited selection of afternoon tea, with only two small plates of cake, an automatic coffee machine, juice, and some bread. The evening tea time had more cooked food and wine. The turndown service was thoughtful, with a card with the weather and temperature and two chocolate bars. The hotel restaurant had a good variety of dishes, and the fried egg with noodles and juice was delicious. The fitness facilities were complete, with a swimming pool and a greenway for running. The small door outside the main building led to the park, which was convenient for a walk after dinner. However, the hotel was a bit remote, with no bus stops, subway stations, or shopping malls nearby, making it inconvenient to travel and eat. The phone had a decent network speed in the room, and the experience was better with a CPE. Most of the hotel staff were friendly and helpful, but one male manager had a bad expression when adding a magnetic stripe to the room key, which affected the overall impression. Overall, the lake view room was comfortable for bathing and enjoying the view, the desk was large and convenient for working, and the breakfast was delicious. It was a good hotel for a relaxing holiday with family. Summary Although the Crowne Plaza Shanghai Xiayang Lake was not in a good location, it had many highlights in terms of facilities and services. The room layout was reasonable, the supplies and facilities were complete, the staff were friendly, and the dining and entertainment facilities met basic needs. It was a good hotel for a relaxing stay, and I look forward to staying again next year.
