Lake Bohinj, Slovenia

After visiting Lake Bled and the nearby quaint little town Radovljica (known for beekeeping traditions), we drove for 30 more minutes to reach Lake Bohinj, nestled in the Triglav national park. Compared to Lake Bled, this lake has a more laid-back and local vibe, and also has hot air balloon services. People are also swimming, SUP and kayaking here, but the whole setting is more pure nature because of Triglav, which is the highest mountain in Slovenia (2864m, part of the Juliana Alps). Note this is the only national park in Slovenia. Apart from the lake area, there are canyons, valleys and hiking trails in the national park.
