Weidao Temple

Weidao Temple is located at No. 16 Weidaoguanqian, Pingjiang Road, Suzhou. It was built in the early Yuan Dynasty, and has been destroyed and rebuilt several times. The existing buildings are relics of the Ming and Qing Dynasties. In 1982, it was listed as a cultural relic protection unit in Suzhou. I heard that Weidao Temple reopened in December, so I went to have a look. Many fashionable elements for young people have been added, and there is also an exhibition of award-winning works of hard pen calligraphy by teenagers. I was amazed by the beautiful handwriting of the children! There is also a small courtyard in Weidao Temple, with a pond, rockery, and pavilion, which is as exquisite as a Suzhou garden. A market is being prepared outside the gate, and it is estimated that it will be lively on weekends.
