Travelogue of Longshan Temple: The Light of Faith in the Ancient Zen Temple
Located in Wanhua, Taipei, Longshan Temple is a solemn yet warm-hearted temple. Built in 1738 during the Qianlong era of the Qing Dynasty, this temple is one of Taipei's most historically and culturally significant centers of faith. Both local residents and travelers from afar can find a sense of peace and belonging here.
Ancient Architectural Art
Upon entering Longshan Temple, the first thing that catches the eye is the temple structure, which is full of southern Chinese architectural style. The temple is famous for its intricately carved dragon pillars, with dragons spiraling upwards, majestic and vivid, showcasing the superb craftsmanship of the artisans. The wooden carvings, stone carvings, and ceramic sculptures inside the temple are all lifelike, with every detail imbued with auspicious and blessing meanings. Especially the Guanyin Bodhisattva enshrined in the main hall, with its solemn golden body and flourishing incense, attracts countless devout worshippers.
Interweaving of History and Stories
The history of Longshan Temple can be traced back to the Qing Dynasty. It has undergone multiple renovations and witnessed the rise and fall of Taipei. During World War II, the temple was bombed, and although the halls were destroyed, the statue of Guanyin Bodhisattva miraculously remained intact, further strengthening people's belief in the protective power of the deity. Today, Longshan Temple is not only a center of religious faith but also a living historical landmark that attracts numerous visitors.
Bustling Life of Faith
Every morning, Longshan Temple is awakened by the footsteps of pilgrims and tourists. Believers hold incense sticks, whispering prayers, conveying their wishes and blessings to the deities. Whether seeking peace, health, marriage, or career guidance, Longshan Temple, like a kind elder, quietly listens and offers comfort. The fortune-telling area outside the temple is also a gathering place for crowds, where casting divination blocks and drawing lots become rituals for many, adding a touch of mystery and fun.
Cultural Atmosphere of the Surroundings
Longshan Temple is not only a cultural treasure itself but also located in one of Taipei's oldest areas. The bustling night market outside the temple offers a variety of snacks that make one's mouth water; the nearby Bopiliao Historical Block is a great place where the past and present blend. A visit here allows you to experience the solemnity of the temple and savor the unique charm of Wanhua.
Spiritual Reflection and Enlightenment
A visit to Longshan Temple is not just a journey but a dialogue with the soul. The temple's incense smoke and melodious bell sounds make people slow down and re-examine their inner selves. Whether you are religious or not, you can feel a profound sense of peace here, understanding the connection between the past and the future, and the preciousness of the present.
Every visit to Longshan Temple is a spiritual cleansing. This ancient temple is both a witness to history and a guardian of faith, worthy of every traveler's stop and reverence.

#Overseas travel #Taiwan #Din Tai Fung #Restaurant
Taiwan's Din Tai Fung is famous worldwide for its Xiao Long Bao, which is its signature dish. The first time you put it in your mouth, the juicy flavor bursts out, and it's so delicious. The skin is thin and chewy, so it's soft throughout the meal, and the meat and juice inside are clean and deep.
Another charm of Din Tai Fung is its diverse menu. It was great to go with several people and order a variety of dishes. If you go to Taiwan, I highly recommend you visit!

Just went on a family trip to Taipei and stayed at ILLUME Hotel next to the Taipei Arena. Although it is a four-star hotel, it has the grandeur of a five-star hotel. This hotel is very suitable for attending concerts at the Taipei Arena, as it is just a short walk away. There are also many dining options nearby in the evening. The hotel room is still very spacious even after placing two beds, and it is clean and tidy. It also has a gym and an outdoor swimming pool, giving it a high-end feel. Highly recommend adding the buffet breakfast, the restaurant has a very high ceiling and is very beautiful.
Travelogue of The Grand Hotel: An Elegant Taipei Experience Through Time
Taipei, a city that combines modern prosperity with a long history, is home to The Grand Hotel, a landmark that undoubtedly takes you on a journey through time. The red pillars are adorned with exquisite carvings, and the patterns on the dome showcase the splendid Chinese style, reminiscent of the glory of ancient palaces. However, the hotel is not stagnant; its interior is modernized, with comfortable guest rooms, luxurious banquet halls, and advanced conference facilities that meet the needs of modern travelers. This fusion of classic and modern allows guests to feel the profound charm of tradition while enjoying comfort and convenience.

As a hotel built on a hill, The Grand Hotel offers an excellent vantage point to overlook the entire city of Taipei. Standing on the hotel's observation deck, you can take in the panoramic view of Taipei, with the 101 Building standing tall on the distant skyline and the Tamsui River winding through the city's embrace, giving a deep sense of Taipei's prosperity and tranquility. Especially at night, the city's dazzling lights and the starry sky create a magnificent picture.

The Grand Hotel is also renowned for its exquisite Chinese cuisine. The hotel's Chinese restaurant is highly recommended, offering famous dishes such as Peking Duck, a variety of selected dim sum, and classic Taiwanese dishes, all presented with delicate plating, making every bite a visual and taste delight. Taipei 101 Observation Deck
#IndoorActivity #Taipei #TaipeiAttractions #Taipei101Observation Deck
Located in Xinyi District, Taipei, the 101 Observation Deck has floors 88, 89, and 91 (the outdoor area may be canceled due to bad weather). The elevator will take you to the 89th floor first. The 360-degree panoramic view, standing on the 89th floor, looking at Taipei is amazing. It turns out that this is the city where we live in everyday. It is really shocking to stand at a high altitude and look down. I am still looking over there to see which direction my house is, and see if I can see the major buildings in Taipei. Things: Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hall, Dome, A13 APPLE and Songshan Airport.
When the sun is about to set in the east, you can see 101 reflected on Xiangshan Mountain, which is really a different feeling. Personally, I think it's very suitable to come in the afternoon, as you can see the sunset during the day and the scenery at night. At first, I thought it would be boring, but we didn't know that we stayed there for more than three hours and still didn't get enough of it.
There are many devices to take pictures here, whether it is daytime or sunset, it is very easy to take pictures at night.

Authentic Chengdu 'Mm Chicken Knife' Skewers in Taipei for 10 NTD.
Taipei has opened a skewer hotpot restaurant, and its chain stores are increasing, creating a small trend. It is said that the owner is from Chengdu, and I personally think both the spicy and white broths are delicious. It's a late-night diner for spicy food lovers and night owls, open from noon to 5 AM. 😃
🌟 The entrance has a large red sign with colorful retro lights, and the overall decoration is very thoughtful! Inside the store, there are two large refrigerators with over 40 types of skewers, including vegetables, meats, and hotpot ingredients, all priced at 10 NTD per skewer (but the portions are small, perfect for friends with small appetites). Ordering a few meat dishes is still very satisfying.
🌟 Special Sichuan Spicy and Pork Bone Double Broth for 1-2 people costs 380 NTD. We chose mild spicy, which was not enough, so we went up to medium spicy, which was just right. The broth is flavorful with a good balance of spiciness, and it contains duck blood and tofu. Let it simmer for a while for an even better taste. 😋
🌟 You can grab skewers like pickled pepper beef, squid tentacles, tribute vegetables, and boneless ribs for 10 NTD each. The more you eat, the more addictive it becomes. For individual meat dishes, we recommend beef balls and Matsusaka pork. Sichuan wide noodles cost 150 NTD (a large bucket in China), the portion is small and expensive but chewy and delicious. Don't cook it too long, or you can replace it with Prince noodles for a more Taiwanese flavor. 💕
✔️ Do not order the pepper chicken feet! They are cold and hard.
💯 They also have red sugar glutinous rice cakes for dessert, perfect to end the meal. Remember to buy the 20 NTD spicy sauce with Baoning vinegar and chili oil. It's great for gatherings with friends, and the eating style is fun. Highly recommended! 👍

Shilin Mansion Park is one of the famous tourist attractions in Taipei City, especially famous for its beautiful larch pine and red leaves in winter.
The bald cypress displays golden colors every winter, attracting many tourists to take photos and admire them. The bald bald cypress trees in the park are mainly distributed along the stream and extend along the flat trails. Visitors can easily stroll along the larch cypress avenue, with small bridges and flowing water, making people feel like they are in the beauty of a foreign country.
At the same time, the maple trees in the park showed brilliant red and golden yellow, and the trees seemed to be lit by flames. The red leaves sparkled in the sunlight, forming a picturesque scene.
Especially in the sunny afternoon, the golden bald cypress, red leaves and blue sky complement each other, forming an excellent photography background. The scenery here changes with the seasons, and the bald cypresses and red leaves in winter are even more stunning, making it a paradise for photographers. In winter, the bald cypresses and red leaves in Shilin Mansion Park complement each other, which is truly unforgettable.

An experience full of memories at "THE Doraemon Exhibition Taipei 2023"
Entering "THE Doraemon Exhibition Taipei 2023" at the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall is like returning to childhood, and those familiar scenes and characters instantly bring back full memories. As soon as you enter the venue, you can see the huge shape of Doraemon, which makes people happily pick up the camera and take pictures. Each area in the exhibition hall reproduces classic scenes, and there is also a prop experience area, making people feel like they are Nobita or Shizuka, traveling in the world of Doraemon.
Not only was it visually satisfying, the sound and interactive design of the exhibition also made me feel particularly warm. When you hear Doraemon's signature sound effects, the familiar melody makes people smile unconsciously. Especially when I saw Doraemon’s various magical props on display, I really wanted to experience the magical effect of the “any door”.
The entire exhibition is not only a reminiscence, but also allows people to relive the simple happiness that Doraemon brought us. In the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall, this touch is particularly real and is definitely worth experiencing again.
