Winter Wonderland in Yellowstone: A Magical Snowy Adventure

Yellowstone National Park in the United States is truly a unique and magical place on Earth! In winter, Yellowstone transforms into a dreamy snowy wonderland. The park limits entry to 200 people per day during this season. Winter opening dates are from 12/15/2022 to 03/15/2023, but you can check the exact dates on the Yellowstone website each year. Private vehicles are not allowed in the park during winter; visitors must enter by snow coach or snowmobile. Various tours are available on the official website, and reservations are required in advance. We booked a tour with Yellowstone Vacations, which can be found and reserved through the Yellowstone website. You can choose different pick-up locations when booking the tour. Location: 201 Grizzly Ave, West Yellowstone (Yellowstone Vacations Headquarters) Price: Tour $220/person + $20/person (Visitors must purchase a $20 park pass, which will be provided by the tour leader on the first day. The pass can be reused for different tours on subsequent days, so don't lose it! Remember to bring your ID, a photo ID is acceptable.) Time: 8am-4:30pm We signed up for two tours: Old Faithful and the Canyon. Old Faithful is particularly beautiful and highly recommended! We saw geysers, steam pools, hot springs, mud pots, and fumaroles. The springs display a spectrum of blue, pink, green, and yellow colors, creating a dreamlike scene! The park is home to many migrating American bison. On the way back, we even spotted elk in the mountains! The Canyon tour is longer and focuses on wildlife spotting. We were very lucky as our guide helped us find 4 red foxes and 2 wolves, which were incredibly cute! Our hotel was about 25 minutes away from the tour location, but it is highly recommended! The snowy scenery along the way to the tour is stunning.
