Zhao'an - Qingyun Temple

Qingyun Temple in Zhao'an was first built in the Ming Dynasty and rebuilt in the 42nd year of the Qianlong reign of the Qing Dynasty (1778). The temple enshrines the Thousand-Hand Guanyin and the Eighteen Arhats, and its architectural layout includes a gate tower, a large courtyard, east and west wing rooms, two corridors, and a main hall. The main hall has three bays in width and three bays in depth, and adopts a beam-lifting wooden frame structure. The gate tower is located on the east side, with two bays in width, and also adopts a beam-lifting wooden frame and a hard mountain roof design. There is also a stone plaque with the words "Qingyun Temple" engraved in the Wuxu year of the Qianlong reign of the Qing Dynasty. The historical background of Qingyun Temple can be traced back to the Ming Dynasty. After several renovations and expansions, the existing architectural pattern was formed. The statues of the Thousand-Hand Guanyin and the Eighteen Arhats enshrined in the temple reflect the people's belief and worship of Buddhism at that time. The architectural style and carving art in the temple also demonstrate the craftsmanship level of that time. In recent years, Qingyun Temple has been further repaired and maintained, preserving its historical appearance and religious function.
