This 5-day, 4-night trip to Switzerland was a dream come true for a snow lover like me. I specifically visited Grindelwald, located in the Jungfrau region. Here, you can take a cable car to First and enjoy the breathtaking scenery along the way. Visiting in winter, you get to see even more stunning snowy landscapes. The cable car ride offers views of the mountain scenery, and although most of it is covered in snow, you can still spot some wooden villages on the ground. I highly recommend setting aside a day to explore this area. It's absolutely worth it!

The most fun place in Switzerland is Mount First

Mount First is undoubtedly the 'most fun' place in Grindelwald. Once you leave the town, you will find the cable car station at the foot of the mountain. After reaching the summit by cable car, you can enjoy a series of fun activities without any interruption all the way down. The First Cliff Walk by Tissot is an aerial walkway built at an altitude of 2171 meters along the mountain wall. Walking on it, you cross steep cliffs and rivers, and you can gaze at the Alps from different angles, overlooking the wonderful scenery of Switzerland. The mountain restaurant offers snacks and coffee; sit down and enjoy the view of the Eiger peak, which is incredibly beautiful. From the First viewpoint, it is a 50-minute hike to Lake Bachalpsee. The path is quite sunny, but the scenery is absolutely cinematic, and there are many cows.

The paragliding and projects were cancelled due to the strong wind that day, but the scenery is really good. Remember to check the last cable car down the mountain time

Getting There - using the Swiss travel pass, you get discounts for tickets. The gondola ride up Mount First offers a breathtaking view. Attractions - Hiking to Bachalpsee lake, Swiss bridge walk Hotels - Grindewald Airbnb Food & Restaurants - there’s a cafe on the top of mount first with a gorgeous view! Food in Switzerland isn’t cheap but their seafood in particular taste super fresh! Shopping - There isn’t any shopping at Mount First. however, Grindewald is where mount first is located & has several cute little shops to purchase your souvenirs from! and there’s the famous Laderach chocolates which is a whole lot more cheaper than the stores in SG! #mytripvlog #switzerland

The First Cliff Walk is just about 300 meters long, and what we saw was just white scenery due to the snow. With this weather in May, we can imagine how snowy it will get in winter time. Good places for trekking in Switzerland in May, First.

High-altitude areas were covered in snow, making trekking impossible, but First was fine. Although the very top was covered in snow, you could take a mountain cart down from the middle, ride a scooter, walk, or take the cable car down. I enjoyed the scenery while walking down. Personally, I was scared to ride the scooter on the slopes... It was nice to walk slowly and take in the sights:)

Alpine Wonders: Discovering Interlaken and Its Scenic Surroundings 📷

Interlaken is one of Switzerland’s most popular travel destinations. The town is nestled between two lakes and surrounded on all sides by mountains. 🏔️ Days could be spent in this small Swiss town as it’s an excellent base to explore the surrounding attractions. Here were my favorite locations on my 2 day Interlaken mini-break: 1️⃣ First Cliff Walk and surrounding hikes - Take the 30 minute train ride to Grindelwald and then take the gondola up to the First Cliff Walk. There are many hikes with spectacular views on top! Be sure to check the gondola operating times if you don’t want to walk down! 🚡 2️⃣ Rosenlaui - This one is a little bit further out but it’s definitely worth it! Take the train to Meiringen and then take the bus to Rosenlaui. The benefit to being slightly harder to reach is the lack of tourists! 3️⃣ Brienz - I made a stop at Brienz on my way to Meiringen because I read online it’s home to the most beautiful street in the world. The town is small and quaint and definitely worth checking out. 4️⃣ Lauterbrunnen - Another unmissable stop and located about 25 minutes away from Interlaken. The village is quite walkable but be sure to check out the surrounding hikes. When you’re done, take the train up to Wengen for spectacular views of the Lauterbrunnen valley below. From Wengen, you can take the gondola over the mountain and down into Grindelwald at the other side. Helpful Tip 💭: Switzerland has an excellent transport network, but it’s pretty pricy. It’s worth investing in the Swiss rail pass if you’re going to be there for an extended period. I opted for the half-fare card as I was in Switzerland for only five days. The weather around Jungfrau is ever-changing, with clouds and mist swirling around one moment and clearing the next, tugging at the traveler's heartstrings. 🚗 Transportation to the attraction: Take the train to Grindelwald, exit the station, and after a ten-minute walk, you'll reach the cable car station, where you can take the cable car 🚡 directly to First, Fiesch. 👍 Must-visit attraction: The Korean movie 🎬 'Emergency Landing' was filmed here, and there's a heart-shaped 🧡 prop on the viewing platform for tourists to take photos with. There are quite a few Korean 🇰🇷 tourists who like to check in here. There are many amusement activities such as mountain carts, gliders, and cliff walks. Summer in Switzerland, with its lakes and mountains, is mesmerizing. #thingstodo Just back from my first ever Mountain Cliff Walk near Grindelwald, and what an experience it was! 🌟 🚞How to get there: -Take cable car at Grindelwald Firstbahn terminal to First Mountain (Ticket can be purchased on the spot or on SBB mobile app) The journey up offered panoramic views that is breathtaking. The cliff walk was super exciting and a bit of a thrill! 😎Imagine walking on a narrow path that hugs the side of a mountain. On one side, you have these awesome, jaw-dropping drops that make you feel like you're on the edge of the world. And on the other side, you get these amazing views of the mountains that go on forever. ⛰️ ❄️ This walk is perfect for anyone who loves a good adventure or just wants to see some seriously beautiful views. There are many hikes around Grindelwald First in Switzerland. You can do a nice walk to some lakes or climb the beautiful summits around.
