Hello Shangri-La--Experience of staying at Deqin Moonlight City Indigo 💫Shangri-La, also translated as Xiangbala, means 'the sun and moon in the heart' in Tibetan, symbolizing a beautiful and ideal lifestyle. For me personally, Shangri-La in my heart is more like a travel pursuit, setting foot on different lands, seeing different beautiful scenery, and experiencing different local customs. This time I finally had the opportunity to set foot in Shangri-La during my trip to Yunnan, chasing the 'Shangri-La' in my heart. 🚃Transportation: The hotel is located on the hillside outside the Dukezong Ancient City, about 1 kilometer away. This distance is easy to walk in the plain area, but it's not very friendly for friends with altitude sickness in this plateau area. Therefore, it is more suitable for self-driving travel, you can drive to the ancient city, and parking in the surrounding parking lots is very convenient. 🕍Room facilities: I booked the cheapest basic room, and the front desk upgraded me to the ancient city view room for free when I checked in, which must be praised. The room's color matching is very bold, which should be more suitable for young people's aesthetics. The room facilities are very new, equipped with oxygen machines and floor heating as standard, and the window directly faces the Dukezong Ancient City. The only drawback is that the room is slightly small. 🏨Hotel landscape: The hotel is located on the hillside, and its unique geographical location advantage can overlook the entire Dukezong Ancient City, with an unbeatable view. Go to the Songzanlin Temple, known as the Little Potala Palace, to experience Tibetan culture, and it's a bit far to go to Napahai and Pudacuo, so it's more convenient to drive. The number of double beds is much higher than that of twin beds. There are very few suites. Almost all rooms can overlook Dukezong Ancient City. The double bed room also has a balcony with a better view. The room is very Indigo, with a sketch of Dukezong Ancient City on the headboard. There are quite a few Tibetan elements, such as the hanger is a Tibetan antelope, the wall decoration is a horseshoe, and the chair is a five-color auspicious cloud. Even in the mini bar, there are two bottles of local beer from Shangri-La, but they charge for it. There is also a map of the Ancient Tea Horse Road on the table. The hotel has an oxygen supply system for guests with altitude sickness, but I don't know if it really works. The hotel has a shuttle bus to take guests to the rooms on the hillside, as it's a bit tiring to walk up there yourself. The hotel breakfast is good, with some Tibetan specialties like butter tea. But I don't think it's worth the CNY 1,400 price.
