So many people have asked how to return from Gulangyu! This article is for tourists! Today, I'll explain everything clearly! 1️⃣As long as you have purchased a ticket for the outbound trip, you don't need to buy another ticket for the return trip. It's free within 20 days of the outbound trip! 2️⃣Tourists can choose to return from either the Sanqiutian Wharf or the Neicuo'ao Wharf! 3️⃣The last ferry from Sanqiutian to Xiamen's Drum Pier during the day is at 18:40, and at night it goes to the Ferry Pier (this pier is near Zhongshan Road, a good location). For specific flight numbers, refer to the first image, so if you're returning around 18:00, make sure to check the flight number. 4️⃣Neicuo'ao only has daytime returns, with ferries going to the First Pier and Xiamen's Drum Pier! There are also ferries to Haicang Songyu Wharf! Gulangyu Island is full of ancient buildings and beaches. The food street is the best place to have a taste of the Gulangyu food. This Island is worth spending days to have a good experience of ancient culture. The island is either big or small for tourists to go around but it will take at least 6 hours to walk around. FYI, there are no bike or taxi, so tourist need to explore the island on foot. The only thing that is done on this island is to test your walking endurance ”your ability to walk for hours 😓😓”. Based on data from my phone pedometer, I walked more than 18,820 steps from 3 pm to 7 pm.
