Choose [Aranya Hotel] because it's a chain hotel brand, which means better service, a clean environment, and complete facilities compared to other private guesthouses. 🚗 Transportation: It's convenient to drive or take a taxi. It's about 30–50 km from Suzhou or Shanghai, which takes less than an hour. 🏠 Accommodation: My friend and I booked a whole villa. The first floor has a living room, bath room, and dining room. The second floor has two guest rooms. The third floor has a loft guest room. The villa has a south courtyard and a north balcony. Behind the villa is a village river with lush scenery that is so healing! The entire villa is decorated in an American country style, with a great aesthetic. It's just over an hour's drive from Shanghai🚗, and you'll find yourself in Kunshan, where I discovered an amazing homestay🏠 🍃 We stayed in a two-story loft. As soon as you walk in, wow! The view is so expansive! There are two doors; if you go out the left, it feels like Thailand, and if you go out the right, it feels like Kyoto, Japan! You can even choose your own bath products! The housekeeper is super thoughtful, even helping us light aromatherapy candles and preparing little cakes🍰 and silver fungus soup! 🍃 In the afternoon, we enjoyed a fantastic high tea by the poolside🫖. I heard they also offer a Wupeng boat high tea! Fruits🍈, chocolate🍫, cakes🧁, and black tea🫖 made for another chill afternoon! 🍃 After the tea, we took the kids for a bike ride in the rapeseed flower fields. The kids had so much fun, even got to ride a little train🚉 and play train conductor, which will surely give them something to brag about at school🥳. The homestay even has its own amusement park! It's perfect for families. 🍃 For dinner, we had a barbecue bbq at the homestay, and I must say, the atmosphere was off the charts! The meat was pre-marinated, and grilling it was a breeze. In two minutes, the delicious meat was ready to eat! On the rest day, I took my child for a relaxing drive from the west of the city, and after 40 minutes we arrived at Ji Jia Dun. There are quite a few homestays around, and we finally stayed at the Xi Di A Lan Ruo Resort. I visited Ji Jia Dun several years ago when the surroundings were still under construction. Now it has developed much better. March is just the right time for the rapeseed flower season, where you can enjoy the flowers and take photos. The most distinctive feature here is this big duck. After booking the hotel, the merchant will set up an exclusive group in advance, where they will send a check-in guide, address, restaurant opening hours, wifi password, local weather conditions, and where to park 🅿️ (parking is free in Ideal Village), which is very thoughtful. 🏨 I really like the design style of the homestay. The rooms are mainly in a log style, with a fresh atmosphere. When checking in, we were allowed to choose our own essential oil aromatherapy and bath products. The butler helped us with our luggage and took us to the ground floor large bed room with a yard, which has a large bathtub that my child loves to soak in the most. They also prepared a cake and welcome fruit for us, and everything in this box in the room is free to drink～👍 Next to the hotel's Chiang Mai restaurant, there is also an outdoor children's play area, where parents can free their hands. We originally booked the boathouse afternoon tea, but it was too hot today so we changed to experience the riverside afternoon tea under the shade of trees. The fruits are all freshly cut, and then we took a walk around the village. When we returned to the room, we found that they had prepared a sleep 💤 eye mask and silver ear soup on the table, which was so considerate. In the evening, we had Western food at the hotel. The environment was beautiful, with a full atmosphere, and the service was attentive and thoughtful. The steak was firm and juicy, making it the perfect place for a date. The next day, we also had breakfast at the eatery. We had to go to the second floor of the Ideal Village convenience center. The restaurant environment was clean and tidy, with both Western and Chinese options available. The staff reminded us that there was red soup noodles and mustard wontons, which could be freshly made. The breakfast service ends at 10 am, and the waiters would come to remind us to add more dishes at the last minute. After breakfast, we went to pick strawberries 🍓 in Ideal Village before heading back. The butler would help us with our luggage and take it to the parking lot 👍. Every service person was very enthusiastic, and they would all proactively greet us. While waiting for the check-out inspection, they would also pour tea for us.
