Our first time coming to Lalaport also known as Mitsui Shopping Park in heart of Kuala Lumpur where the most famous and trending matcha taste is found. Matcha Eight is a MUST-GO when going over to Lalaport, its matcha ingredients is fully imported from Japan and they craved one of the best premium matcha ice cream! It has total of 8 flavours to choose from and each with different tasting notes. Some is more bitter/lighter/sweeter and it’s a heaven for matcha lovers! We got a “Maybe it’s love” flavour which has moderate matcha bitterness but more sweeter, perfect for beginners. We also got a “Matcha me tonight” flavour which is slightly sweeter but more bitter/stronger in matcha, someone who love a bit of stronger flavour of matcha should definitely get this! #festivaljoy I recently visited LaLaport Mall, and the Halloween festival theme there is so much fun! Every corner is a photo spot, with spooky yet cute decorations everywhere. You can’t resist taking pictures with the giant monsters, pumpkins, and ghost figures scattered around. The main attraction is the Monster Lab activity, where you can complete five exciting missions: speed catching, buzz wire, can toss, slime treasure hunt, and even a "kill the monster" game. It’s super engaging, especially for families with children. Once you finish all five games, you can head over to the redemption counter and claim an awesome sticker. It adds a nice little reward after the fun. If you visit on the weekends, you can also join the Halloween party. Parents and children all dressed up in cute costumes made the place even more lively. I have heard many nice reviews about this newly open Lalaport in KL and there is direct rapidKL station to come here too. I am interested in their Japanese street and they have invited many Japanese vendors to set up stalls here. This shopping center is huge and there are a total of 6 levels and separate into East and West entrance. Be sure to lookout for directional signages otherwise you might lose your way. I came to Lalaport in May and there were still many Sakura setup here. It was so pink and the Sakura are blooming. It only took me about 15 minutes to walk from Parkroyal Collection KL to Lalaport and I get to explore many other buildings on my route. Initially I was quite worried to jaywalk or unable to find traffic crossing. Luckily, I manage to use the train platform to cross over and Lalaport is also very nice to have build an overhead walkway shelter equipped with escalator for pedestrian. You can see that KL city is changing rapidly and promotes public transport aggressively. In summer, you can eat ice to lower your body temperature and kakigori, a Japanese term for our Ice-Kachang is always popular with even during colder months. At Sakanoue Kakigori, it is a franchise of the main store in Japan. They still preserve the traditional way of freezing the water into ice to achieve the same quality of taste. This is a small place and you can sit about 12 persons indoor and another 10 persons outdoor. With more than 10 cats house in this cafe, you can mingle and chill around with them in the cafe, most of them are very friendly (but camera shy) that they will come to you and sit on your lap, there are also toys for you to play around with the cats. The base price for half and hour is 35RM while for 70RM you can spend the whole day in the cat cafe. Nice ambience, nice music. Undeniably, a comfortable place, but service is very slow. We waited quite a while for two drinks, with only five patrons in entire place on a weekday late afternoon. Not quite the Vietnamese coffee we usually have in Saigon, Vietnam ...with the taste here much lighter and in petite serving, a toddler would've finished in a gulp.
