The Eagle's Nest (Kehlsteinhaus) is located in the Alps near Berchtesgaden, Bavaria, southern Germany.
Drive to the Eagle's Nest, located 4 km southeast of Berchtesgaden, and stand on top of Kehlstein Mountain. Location: The Eagle's Nest (Kehlsteinhaus) is located in the Alps near Berchtesgaden, Bavaria, southern Germany, at an altitude of 1,881 meters.
Travel Route:
Take a train from Salzburg Station to Berchtesgaden, then transfer to a train directly to the Eagle's Nest.
You can also drive there and enjoy the scenery along the way.
Upon arrival, visit the Documentation Center, exchange your Eagle's Nest ticket for a free admission ticket, and get an audio guide (there may not be a Chinese option, but you can use the Google Translate photo feature to help understand).
After visiting the Documentation Center, take the Eagle's Nest shuttle to the top of the mountain. Note that you need to match the time and bus number of your reservation when taking the shuttle up the mountain.
Highlights:
The Eagle's Nest is built on top of a mountain, and you need to take a scenic bus, pass through a marble tunnel, and transfer to a golden elevator to reach it, which is very interesting.
There is a restaurant and café in the castle.
Looking down from the Eagle's Nest, you can see the mirror-like Königssee and the distant view of Salzburg, Austria.
