Wave Rock
#australiatrip Caravan park at base of Wave Rock - great location!
Checkin quick & simple & good directions. Got a feel busy & no time to chat or sell you on the area or other things to do. Check out simple & quick.
Site hard & on a slight slope. Quite wide with large concrete pad. Amenities were excellent. Pool was very cold - would be great in summer.
5 min walk to Wave Rock & free entry as guest. Also free entry to the Resort & facilities incl salt pool.
Salt pool was also good - still being finished but great soak & float. Very cold but warm in the middle.
Easy drive out to the Humps.

Waves and rocks, timeless beauty.
Wave Rock is one of the top ten geological wonders in the world. This huge rock, about 110 meters long and 15 meters high, stands in a forest. It has to be said that nature has bestowed too many amazing masterpieces on Western Australia. As its name suggests, Wave Rock looks like a wave that has been frozen in time, with varying depths of lines on its surface, making this giant rock look even more vivid.
Regarding the formation of the Wave Rock, it is said that it was formed about 2.5 billion years ago. The long-term erosion caused by wind and rain, as well as the sudden changes in temperature between day and night, gradually eroded this huge granite rock into the shape of waves. The colored lines on the Wave Rock are formed by the chemical reaction caused by the rainwater washing away the surface chemical substances while producing chemical reactions.
Afternoon is the best time to shoot the Wave Rock, when the various colors and lines of the Wave Rock are the most vivid of the day, and you can clearly see the black, brown, gray, red, and tan stripes.
Near the Wave Rock, there is another special rock called Hippos Yawn, which is a hollow rock named after its shape resembling a yawning hippopotamus. However, compared to the Wave Rock, there are not many tourists coming here, and this rock is rarely mentioned.
📮[Travel Tips]
▪️The Wave Rock can be climbed to the top by following the walking path along the side to experience conquering the giant waves.
▪️The admission fee for the Blowhole is charged per car, with a rate of 12 AUD per regular private car.

Surfing on
Surfing on the rocks - wave rock / rock
strange landscapes always sigh the wonders of nature, went to the wave valley in the western United States, Danxia wave valley in Longzhou, Shaanxi, although they are "wave", west The wavy rock in Australia is still amazing. The boulder is like a rising wave, making people want to surf on the rocks.
It is recommended to visit around noon, there will not be too many shadows to be more suitable for taking pictures. If you have enough time, you can climb this huge rock, or walk along the trail to the hippo's rock, which looks like a hippopotamus with a big mouth.
Tickets: AUD 12 per car, parking lot ticket vending machine payment.
Location: More than 300 kilometers from Perth, you can travel by car or group for a single day.
Mobile phone photo suggestion:
This group of photos are all taken by mobile phone~ Shooting a separate landscape photo It is recommended to open the wide-angle mode of the phone, which can make the rock lines more spectacular. Taking pictures of people in the landscape, you can use the portrait mode or large aperture mode that comes with your phone to create a shallow depth of field, which is more layered. The composition uses the lines and extension of the rock to better integrate the characters into the scenery. A group of mobile phone shootings are born.

The wave
The wave rock is a huge rock formation in Australia, located near the city of Hayden on the edge of the western grain growing area. This outwardly rock mass is called wave rock because it is shaped like a row of huge, frozen waves that are about to break.
Wave Rock is located near Hyden, 340 km east of Perth, about 5 hours drive southwest from the wave rock wonders of Western Australia's capital, hh/ Perth. Haydn, 340 km away, arrives at the wave rock,
from the wave rock back to Perth, and can take a break in the half-way town of York, where many 19th-century classical buildings are worth seeing; Enjoy a cup of English afternoon tea in a nostalgic snack bar. Don't have a taste!
From Esperance through the Golden Wheat District to the Wave Rock is already in the evening in the afternoon. The hours of driving really make the female driver crazy. From the other side of the wave rock you can climb to the top. There are a bunch of grotesque rocks. At sunset, the magical light makes the whole wave rock look wonderful red-orange. The sun is so dry that I can't open my eyes. Although the top of the wave rock can't see any extreme scenery, after all, this trip is a rare sunset in Western Australia.
